Quirks, Consumable Items, Real Time Ability Stats And More In Update 0.425
Quirks
Gladiators can now have a few random quirks assigned to them. Positive, negative or dependent on situation.
Thing to keep in mind about quirks is that art is still under development. So right now we have random sketches that don’t even match what quirks are (since they are barely visible as sketches). But soon we’ll replace them with actual icons that are on their way.

We currently have 16 quirks and more are on their way.
Consumable Items
Consumable items are consumed after the battle is finished. They are much cheaper and more frequent then ordinary items. Goal of this feature is to give more options for preparation before the battle starts.

Real Time Ability Stats
Now by clicking or rolling over gladiator we’ll be able to see what ability gladiator is using, what ability is on cooldown, and if some ability is lacking stamina to be used.

Also by opening gladiator panel we can see their stats in real time.

This was important because Quirks are now changing stats and affecting gladiators in crucial ways.
Other
-Gladiators in shop that are much higher level than predicted for that stage of your progress are way more expensive. Before, it was very easy to win the first arena by buying level 3 gladiators while enemy teams expect you to have level 1 gladiators. Now if you want to buy a really strong gladiator it will cost much more.
On the other hand, game is a bit easier because there are now affordable consumable items that you can use to your advantage.
-We risen number of item slots from 4 to 6.
-They do not unlock automatically anymore. Now they cost a small amount of gold.

What is Next?
-First we want to polish up the current quirk system (make them unlock with new arenas, balance positive and negative ones so there is not much unfair situations)
-Add new quirks.
-In shop we want to make gladiators price depend on quality of quirks and add discounts feature.
-Show quirks on unit roll over.
-Show gladiators target on unit roll over.
-Item rarity feature (Each item will have 4 different rarity versions, making it stronger or weaker version of itself)
-Fix few known and probably more unknown bugs.
-Polish and balance game some more.
Updates will be more frequent in next several weeks. But after all that is done we are moving towards next big update that will include:
-Real time passing
-New gladiator stats like Morale, Fame and Monthly Wages.
-Guild with fixed building locations, options to train gladiators to learn new abilities, resurrect them, heal injuries, regain morale, and more.
-Quests and Events that will occur between championships which will be available every 15 days.
