Update adjustments & Open Beta Extension

Hello everyone, Eternal Return team here with a scheduling adjustment and some news for the future.

Our update for post matchmaking character selection + no duplicate characters was scheduled for release tomorrow, but it has been pushed back one week.
We are very sorry for the delay.

There will still be a minor patch tomorrow as planned, but it will not include this particular feature.
In order to test and fix unexpected issues that may appear, we will extend the Open Beta for one more week.
The Open Beta will now end September 30th.

We still have many concerns regarding the Early Access release of Eternal Return as this will be our first experience with it.
We are particularly concerned about the billing system as there are a lot of requirements to meet, as well as setting up an entire refund system, which makes it a big project in itself.
Transferring all data from the Open Beta demo version to the official client will also be a big project that we are trying to make as smooth as possible.

Naturally, there are a lot of new features that are necessary to have by Early Access.
Although experienced players like to test out new Saved Plans and builds, casual and new players have expressed that Saved Plans can be a more confusing obstacle to overcome.
Due to this, the implementation of a feature allowing players to adopt multiple Saved Plans created by other players seems essential.

We are also lucky enough to have several people streaming Eternal Return, highlighting the urgency of a spectator feature.

Both the Demo (Open Beta) and Early Access are internal systems that rely on Steam.
There are very few examples of Demo versions of Free-to-Play games on Steam, so there are many elements that require consultation or permission from Steam themselves.
Due to the situation in North America, the aforementioned consultation process has slowed.

Our development team wants to extend the Open Beta more than anyone else.

We will notify you if an additional extension is possible after September 30th, depending on the development progress and consultation with Steam.

Unfortunately, we cannot implement bug fixes and new features during the extended period.

We will keep working hard to bring you the best version of Eternal Return possible. Thank you for reading.
