Hi everyone. GM Aesop here. Yesterday, we showed you some stats regarding the win rates and things regarding different characters. We’ve taken some of your feedback, along with the game data, to make some changes.

[h2]General Changes[/h2]

• Wild animals
  
  • We're reducing the amount of mastery XP you get when killing wild animals by just a bit, but hunting has become easier and there are now more wild animals.
    
  • Number of wild animals increased. 13 chickens, 4 bats, 7 boars, 7 wild dogs, 5 wolves, and 2 bears are entering the island!
    
  • The amount of mastery XP gained from dealing damage to and taking damage from wild animals has been significantly reduced. Instead, we're increasing the XP gained from killing wild animals.
    The attack power/attack speed/defense/HP of wild animals has been reduced by 10~20%.
    
  • When wolves use their Howling skill, you will only be attacked by a maximum of 2 wolves.

  • Additional Defense Mastery XP given when hunting wild animals.
    
  • For every 100 damage dealt to wild animals, the amount of weapon mastery received has been reduced from 30 to 5 and hunting mastery has been reduced from 50 to 40.
    
  • For every 100 damage taken from wild animals, the amount of defense mastery received has been reduced from 35 to 10 and hunting mastery reduced from 50 to 10.
    
  • For every 100 damage taken, you receive 15 Health mastery, down from 30.
    
  • For every 50m moved, you now gain 55 movement mastery, down from 50.
• Fixed a bug where clicking a box wouldn't open it
  

[h2]Optimization[/h2]

• Added a setting allowing you to manually adjust the FPS cap. FPS is automatically capped at 60, but you can adjust it in Settings > Screen > FPS cap. If your PC is powerful enough, you can go up to 120 FPS, softening the image. You can also lower the cap if your PC is a bit weaker, allowing you to have a more steady experience.
  
• We fixed a backend bug that that occured when collecting real-time information from all the players (e.g., items, crafting, mastery, etc.) in your match. There is no change in what you'll see, but this bugfix should help those who experienced "mini" frame lag in-game. (Some players who experienced this called it "mini lag" where your character would move forward normally and then snap backwards just a bit)

We gathered a ton of data over our 1st alpha test weekend, let’s check it out together:

First we have,

Which characters were picked the most often during the first weekend?



Jackie and Aya were a close top 2. Number 3 was, surprisingly to me personally, Fiora.

Next let’s check out the,

Which characters most often placed #1, in the top 2, top 5, etc



Aya sits atop the win rates with the most #1 victoires. And she said she was a rookie!
The least wins were by our new rockstar, Hart. Not as comfortable on the new characters yet?

Okay but what about,

Which weapons did characters most often have equipped when they placed #1, in the top 2, top 5, etc?



The most winningest weapon was Fiora’s spear, followed closely by Aya’s assault rifle and Magnus’s bat.
The least winningest weapon was, unsurprisingly, no weapon at all. You can’t win if you can’t attack!

Let’s move on to the,

Which character killed the most other characters?





Aya averaged the most kills per game, followed closely by Zahir and Jackie.
The character with the least kills was Hart. Maybe she’s just a bit too much of a peacekeeper.

And lastly we have,

Which character killed the most animals?



Nadine takes the #1 spot here. With her passive making her a better fighter after killing animals, it’s only natural that she kills more critters.
