4th Alpha test's average mastery per character #2

Hello! This is GM_JohnDoe.
We have come to the final rundown post of this 4th Alpha test.
This time, we will take a look at the health, defense, meditation and trap average masteries per character.
[Health]
The health mastery increases the maximum HP of your character.
Having more HP means having an advantage in the fight, right?
[Defense]
The defense mastery decreases the damage taken from normal attacks.
Taking less damage means that you have more chances to survive in combat.
[Meditation]
The meditation mastery increases your maximum SP.
Having more stamina means being able to perform more actions than your opponent.
[Trap]
Trap mastery increases the damage given by traps.
Install your traps at the right place and time, and you will become a critical threat for the enemy.

This is it for this 4th Alpha test rundown.
We cannot wait to see more statistics coming from all of your gameplay.
I will come back next time with more news.

4th Alpha test's average mastery per character #1

Hello! This is GM_JohnDoe.
In our game, there are many masteries beside the weapon mastery.
Each mastery gives you bonus effects, and you can experience very different gameplay with the same character just by changing which masteries you level up first.
Today let's take a look at the hunting, crafting, searching and movement average masteries per character.
[Hunting]
You can level up your hunting mastery by fighting wild animals.
The damage dealt with wild animals increases with your mastery level, allowing you to hunt even faster.
[Crafting]
The crafting mastery increases the effects of your equipped items.
So your equipped items become more efficient as you level up.
[Searching]
The searching mastery allows the character to have a wider range of vision, thus allowing to search areas more easily.
Having a wider range of vision also means you can react to what happens to your surroundings faster, right?
[Movement]
The movement mastery increases the movement speed of the character, allowing you to move faster.
Moving faster than others makes it easier to adapt to the ever-changing situations in the game.
Which mastery do you choose to level up first, and why?
Let's talk about this on our Discord server!
I will come back next time with another addition to this 4th Alpha test's rundown.

Let there be glory to the pawns who reach the end of despair!

P.S: Happy Christmas to everyone!

Coming soon(ish): BS:ER's 5th Alpha Test

The 4th Alpha test taught us some lessons about what our players require to enjoy and better understand the game.

We took everyone's unique game experiences and studied your feedback and comments about how you see the game -- and we got A LOT of feedback. Like a lot. We want to thoroughly address all of your feedback better and prepare for the Early Access launch by hosting a 5th Alpha test sometime between February and March.

Consequently, we'll be postponing our launch into Early Access. Our final overall goal is for players to have an awesome experience -- so please understand that we are doing this to make sure every user will have an incredible game experience upon its Beta release on Steam. (Trust me, we want to play the game just as much as you guys.)

Despite it taking a bit longer to enjoy the game whenever you want, we will still be committed to keeping you connected to its development, just as we always have.
Thank you for your support.
Use of weapons per character

Hello, this is GM_John Doe.

For the second 4th Alpha test rundown, let's take a look at which weapon was used most per character.
Each weapon has a distinct mastery.
This mastery increases by using the weapon or crafting.
Therefore, the higher the mastery level, the more the weapon was used.
Let's check out the most used weapons per character in the 4th Alpha test?
Jackie - Dagger, Two-handed sword, Axe, Dual Sword
Jackie used the Axe the most.
All her other weapons were used in similar amounts.
Aya - Pistol, Assault Rifle, Sniper Rifle
Aya used her Assault Rifle the most.
Hyunwoo - Gloves, Tonfas
Hyunwoo used the Gloves more than the Tonfas.
There was quite a big difference in the number of uses for both weapons.
Magnus - Hammer, Bat
Between the two weapons, Magnus used the Hammer the most.
The gap between the usage of the two weapons is smaller than Hyunwoo's.
Fiora - Rapier, Two-handed Sword, Spear
Fiora used the two-handed sword the most.
However, there isn't much of a gap between the usage of her two-handed sword and her other two weapons.
Nadine - Bow, Crossbow
Nadine used the bow the most.
Like Hyunwoo, the difference between the amount of usage of the bow and crossbow is quite big.
Zahir - Throw, Shuriken
Zahir used two new weapon types: "throw" and "shurikens".
Our 4th Alpha testers preferred the Shurikens.

This was the results of most used weapon per character for this 4th Alpha test.
Let us know if these results are different from what you expected!
I'll be back soon with another addition to the 4th Alpha test rundown.

4th Alpha test rundown

Hello, this is GM_JohnDoe.

After the 3rd Alpha test, we shared a rundown of the test with different performance records.
A lot of people asked about it, so lets take a look at the 4th Alpha rundown.

For today's rundown, we're going to take a look at each character's performance!

Character pick ratio

The most picked character was Jackie!
A very close 2nd was Aya.

Character win ratio

Unlike last time, each character's win rate was determined by analyzing just when each character won 1st place.
Magnus took this one home - he had an overwhelming lead compared to the other characters' win rates.

Player kill (ratio, maximum)

Two things were recorded for player kills.
In the whole Alpha test, Jackie was the one that had the highest player kills.
Zahir, however, had the highest player kills in a single match.

Wild animal hunting (ratio, maximum)

In the same manner, as player kills, we also distinguished wild animal hunting in two ways.
Jackie slew the wildest animals during the whole test duration.
Similar to the player kills performance results, the character with the wildest animal kills in a single match is different. Nadine hunted the most in one game.

What do you think? Are the results far from what you expected?
I will come back next time with another addition to the 4th Alpha test's rundown.
