Today I'm announcing a new feature:
difficulty modes! I want to explain exactly how everything works, so I'm posting this announcement on Steam rather than
Twitter.

There are two difficulty modes to choose from.
Normal Mode is great for people who want to enjoy the story, but if you're looking for an extra challenge, try
Master Mode. Of course, you can swap between them at any time.
In Master Mode, everything moves faster, and the charts contain more notes to press. And if you're playing with a controller, the control scheme also changes slightly to add some more depth:
Master Mode Controls
Normal Mode Controls
Let's say you're playing with an Xbox 360 controller. In Master Mode, the buttons you need to press would be RT, Y, B, and A. But in Normal Mode, the buttons would be Y, B, A, and X. (The control stick is also used in both modes to move to the upper or lower areas of notes on the screen.)
Why does Master Mode use Right Trigger instead of X? Well, think about all the multi-button combinations that are uniquely possible with RT: RT+Y, RT+B, and RT+Y+B. This adds a significant challenge, trust me! To be honest, even I actually have trouble getting an "A" rank on the later songs in the game.
Thanks for reading! Let me know what you think or if you have any questions in the comments below.
