Weekly development log 4
- A lot of work has been done on the performance so that the game can be played on as many PCs as possible. In order to be as efficient as possible, performance zones have been implemented. For example, when the player enters the grow room, all performance related objects are switched off unnoticed. An AMD RX580 graphics card reachs 136 fps or requires approx. 80 watts @60FPS at 1080p highest quali.
- The terrain itself has also been adjusted. Since it is the most important point in terms of performance, I am considering an option to be able to completely deactivate it.
- The first 4 grow boxes were largely completed. The only thing missing is the optimization of functions and optics.
From left to right:
80x80x180cm grow box for mother plants.
80x80x180cm grow box for 4 plants.
120x120x200cm grow box for 9 plants.
240x240x200cm grow box for 18 plants. - Mother plants and clones were added. This can save a lot of time.
- The function of the inventory has been revised. You can now pick up and place objects directly with the mouse.
- Water consumption has been added.
