Hello renovators!👩‍🍳

⭐️In the previous devlog , we wrote about the skills that allow us to properly equip a restaurant.

⭐️In today's devlog, we'll focus on rendering characters.

⭐️Before we focused on this aspect, the characters looked like this:



⭐️However, the characters themselves are more cartoonish than the rest of the game and also have some shadows already painted on the texture, this can be seen when all shading is turned off:



⭐️See the difference under the chin and eyes?


⭐️These characters look pretty good without shading, but they lose some depth, so maybe let's add some shading, but make it cartoonish as well:





⭐️The depth is back, but we can still emphasize it by adding underlining the illuminated side:




⭐️Characters shaded in this way emphasize the contrast between themselves and the realistic surroundings, which can give the impression of a miniature and compliment the environment itself
