The Marshmalott adventure update is available !



Hey everybody !

We know you have waited a loooooooooooooooooong time, but Carol's adventure to the clockwork candy kingdom is finaly available ! And oh boy do we have a lot of changes !



GENERAL CHANGES:

Map System:

- Added the map system (using tab or select on controller) the player now have access to a map of the area, that slowly get revealed the more you explore.
- Added Objectives markers to the new map system along with a quest log, to keep track of your current objectives.
- Added Various icons for points of interest for the new map system.
- Added current level completion % (Story, secrets, items discovered etc)

Nightmare:

- The nightmare world is now a twisted mirror version of the original level
- The nightmare atmosphere will now raise a new "fear" bar wich will result in a gameover if it reach the current HP threshold
- Added lost plushies in the nightmare that generate bubbles of light, protecting Carol from the atmosphere and bringing down the fear bar
- Nightmare enemies no longer produce nightmare fuel after being defeated, but to compensate they have higher health and now raise the fear bar when they hit the player
- Map is unavailable in the nightmare dimension


Vehicles:

- Added the Buzzard plane
- Added Royal hovercraft
- "Mech" types are now able to jump
- Ponies are now able to jump
- Fixed various issues with vehicle gravity

Camera:

- Completly overhauled the camera systems, heavily reducing issues related to camera
- improved camera collisions to avoid clipping in the environment
- Players can now zoom in/out when aiming
- increased the vertical angles limit for aiming

Misc:

- Carol hair complete overhaul (full customization coming later)
- So many bugfixes I lost track (oh noes)



ADVENTURE:

- Added a new area: The Marshmalotts floating citadel
- Added a new area: The Celestial Forge
- New ability: Carol has the ability to grapple to some Marshmalotts devices for swinging around or using Ziplines
- New ability: Umbrella glide

Dev update, Shoreline games and 1.0 Release


Greetings Everyone!



We know it’s been quite a while since we all let you know what’s been going on with the game, development updates, and the planned launch !
For that, we do apologize and we appreciate everyone's support they’ve shown us. It means so much!



So, we should go ahead and answer that question right? What’s been going on?!

For starters, we now have a publisher! Shoreline Games has joined us on our journey to bring Onirism to 1.0 this year.

They’ve been amazing partners so far and we have so much in store to share down the road.
But that also means we have been busy making sure the game is ready for launch, so it delayed our early access shedule a bit.
Some of the features coming with the 1.0 launch are:

- Adventure mode completed !
- Completly overhauled menus and Ui, improving user experience
- Online mode
- Reworked shops to include new things, like hair customization and hair dyes, and accessories !


We’ve also been hard at work for the next update Marshmalotts which is packed with quite a lot…so much so that we’re doing things a bit differently this time around!



We want folks to stay tuned for an upcoming event reveal on June 3rd, 2025 as everyone will get their first look at the Marshmalotts update and also some very exciting news that should hype you all.



Additionally, why don’t we get a sneak peek at one of the upcoming 1.0 release level, Rottenlake city, with a few panoramas:

Onirism Bugfix patch 13/01/2025

- Fixed the gadgets not saving for real this time (please let it be fixed now, I'm tired I need sleep)
- Fixed weapons needing to wait for their firing cooldowns before firing when first picking them up or switching to them
- Fixed Camera jitteriness when out of aiming when moving at high speed

Onirism bugfix patch 09/01/2025

- Fixed Carol in cutscenes not playing her animations

Onirism bugfix patch 08/01/2025

- (hopefully) Fixed an issue that caused the game to crash after Ullr's defeat
- (hopefully) Fixed an issue that caused gadgets and elixirs to disapear from the player inventory
- Fixed bots in Rooftops not respawning
- Changed how explosions work so they are more consistant (and no longer damage through surfaces)
- Explosions now emit volumetric lights
- New model for the Hive rocket launcher
- Added the Snowy Warfare sniper rifle (Bears in Pinewood and the Borealis Sea carry it now)
- Fixed issues sometime happening in cutscenes
