AMA & more details about upcoming BETA
Hi all Buckyballers,
In the last AMA on Jan 27 we mainly discussed details about the upcoming beta. The main topics can be seen below.
Taichi girl’s New name:
In the vote we did, Luna came first at 83 votes, Rin at 63, and Sky and Jade at 47.
Our devs were thinking about the name for a few days after we passed on all the names and their popularity and in the end we choose Sky as the official name.
Pretesting and video recording
We had a pre-testing session over the weekend where 20 players were given special access to the game to help us out by recording a lot of cool footage which we will be cutting up and editing over the next few days and it is planned to air 1-2 hours after the beginning of the steam game festival.
We want to give our thanks to everyone who participated in the pretesting and we value the feedback you have given us which will help us make some last minute important changes before the launch of the beta.
Tournament
We have set the time and date for the tournament to be on Sunday 7th of February at 11AM PST/ 8PM CET. Apart from this, we're still working on the rules, signup, casting plan etc.
We also want to say thanks to our volunteers for the help and support to help create what we hope to be an awesome experience for everyone. Thanks to @ItsTom @Lark @MrTSeeks @Ally @Jerem !

R47 Final Skin
In the Preseason back in November, 1 master grinder from the west made it all the way to the top and completed our battle pass. To honor his hard work and dedication, we are giving SirBlooky the final battle pass lvl 60 skin for R47 for the upcoming beta.
Trivia
Since Friday, we have been doing a count down to the beta launch, and there are now only 2 days to go. With these countdown posts on our twitter, we are doing daily trivia questions where you can win extra in-game coins to help you get your favorite skins.

Servers
Over the past month we were considering whether to run the beta just on the NA server like we did in the open alpha, or to run the beta on multiple servers around the globe.
And we went with option 2 which means you will be able to play on:
Virginia, Frankfurt, Sao Paolo, and Singapore.
Global lobby and leader board
The server decision brings good news to the leaderboard.
We have now combined the lobby of all the regions (except China) which means that you can add friends from other regions and play on other servers without having to create a new profile.
This also means that the leaderboards will now be global, and you will be able to compare your performance with players from overseas.
Patchnotes
Several of you have mentioned to us the importance on patchnotes and how much they are being valued. Since it has been a while since the preseason, there might be a few things we have forgotten. But we will try to add as much as we can.
Content creator Role
We have written up the #content-creators welcome note.
We have been happy to see all the content that have been created for the game so far.
And we are planning to make a content creator program once the game launches. Until then we have made the channel #official-content for all creators to post their content in.
Steam Streams
We will be streaming the pretesting video throughout the beta, but if someone has the desire to make a secondary stream, you would be very welcome. If you are interested, pls contact me and I will help you with the setup process.
Suggestions:
1. Make a half time where people can change characters
2. Beta avatars
3. Name banner in the lobby
4. Flagpoles on each side of the stage with different options flags
5. Make it possible to pop eriels bubbles by team mates (or only by team mates)
6. Make a character design template
7. Ping limit to control crossserver matchmaking
A: We are currently not using this and will look into how complicated it will be to implement
8. Skin design competitions
Based the pretesting there were a few issues we will look into:
R47 hitbox got bigger
- According to the director, the hitbox is still the same size as during the preseason
Bug where the Taiji girl can continually use her retreat ability
- We will try to fix this
100% accuracy for R47
- This is intended and happens when you shoot a little bit softer than a fully powered shot.
Tackling and bullying
- Several players made us aware that the new tackling system has turned into another method for bullying.
- We are right now testing with a 15 sec cooldown to remove the bully effect
