Super Buckyball Tournament Open Development Announcement
Super Buckyball Tournament is here to stay!!
Last week, we opened our servers in Europe, China and North America.
Originally, we were a bit nervous about putting the game online, as there is always more stuff that can be added to make it better. But we are super stoked to see that people are liking our game and we appreciate all the feedback we have received over the past couple of days.
So, thank you so much for that!!!
As a result, we have decided to keep SBT in open development so we can share the fun with our fans, while we keep on adding more cool stuff. We also really want to know any feedback you guys have for us so we can create a game that fits not just the vision of our studio, but also the vision of our fans.
Here is a small list of things that we have prepared recently which are included in the latest build:
- We Polished and redesigning our stadium as well as the characters Pink, Pai and R47
- We added another character “Lang”,
- We gave all characters a secondary ability which can be used by pressing right-click, as well as some unique passives for the different characters.
- We did a lot of work on the lobby and on the main page animation.
- UI both in-game and in the lobby (this still needs a lot of work, so please be patient with us).
- A new ranking system and a leaderboard has been added
- End of game scoreboard has been added to see some stats from the game just played
- We have added voice chat and text chat so players can communicate while playing. (not much testing has been done on this yet, but we will work on improving its function and UI soon)
The development has been following our vision for the game which is to make a highly competitive 3rd person sports game with a strong emphasis on teamplay. In order to develop the game in this direction, we have been trying to emulate certain aspects of real-life sports to find which elements create a stronger sense of competition and which elements create more reliance on teamwork. We have put a lot of work, sweat and blood and tears into this game. Actually, not so much blood, but many evenings of overtime for sure.
So, if you love the game send us some super awesome, great and excellent feedback!
If you don’t love the game yet, send us your thoughts as well!
