[h3]History of New World[/h3]
New World continues to grow, change, and adapt thanks to player feedback, seasonal content, and expansive narratives. Since the game launched in September 2021, Aeternum now features more Expeditions, weapons, threats, zones, and game modes. There are also revamped main storyline quests and vast quality of life improvements.

[h3]What is New World: Aeternum[/h3]
New World: Aeternum is the definitive New World experience. It includes the New World base game, the Rise of the Angry Earth expansion, and all update content like Brimstone Sands, plus a fully revamped storytelling approach with enhanced dialogue, in-game cinematics and pre-rendered scenes, the first-ever large-scale PvP zone, a challenging 10-player raid, new endgame solo trials, and more.

[h3]New PvP Zone: The Cursed Mists[/h3]

The foggy southwest reaches of Cutlass Keys are a lawless place, where the “Golden Greed” curse of La Esperanza’s treasure drives fortune-hunters to murderous madness. Even the closest of companions are liable to lethally betray one another. Gather Cursed Doubloons and resources, but you’ll have to escape before other looters steal your spoils. We’ll go deeper into the Cursed Mists as part of an upcoming behind the scenes article.

[h3]New 10-Player Raid: The Hive of the Gorgons[/h3]

One of the most exciting new features coming is our first-ever 10-player raid, the Hive of Gorgons. After defeating Medusa in New Olympus, players will learn of a new threat. The Gorgons have risen, and they’re raising an army of the Hercyne. To stop them, you’ll have to assemble a team of powerful players, enter the hive, and negotiate a gauntlet of challenging puzzles and epic boss battles. Look forward to learning more in an upcoming developer deep dive.

[h2]Day 1 Rewards[/h2]

Players that unlocked the exclusive Aeternian Adventurer title and skin set will receive their rewards on October 15. All rewards earned during Open Beta will only be available on the same platform. For example, if you played Open Beta and leveled up your character on PC, you will only receive the following rewards on PC.

• Aeternian Trailblazer - Title: Participate in Open Beta
  
• Vambrace of the Aeternian Adventurer - Gloves: Reach level 10 with any character
  
• Jackboots of the Aeternian Adventurer - Footwear: Reach level 15 with any character
  
• Britches of the Aeternian Adventurer - Legwear: Reach level 20 with any character
  
• Tricorn of the Aeternian Adventurer Headwear and Greatcoat of the Aeternian Adventurer Chestwear: Reach level 25 with any character

Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 players who pre-order New World: Aeternum, and PC players who have purchased the Rise of the Angry Earth expansion will receive the Azoth Stalker Wolf Mount as a bonus. For PC players to be eligible to get the Azoth Stalker Wolf Mount, they must also log in to a server with one of their characters after the New World: Aeternum announcement on June 7, 2024, and before October 14, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. (PT). Cook up a Feast for the Future with your own sustainable masterpiece. The tantalizing flavor of the winning dish will linger across Aeternum as a new in-game recipe. What will you take from Aeternum to table?

Amazon Games and New World are taking part in the 2024 Playing for the Planet Green Game Jam. The Green Game Jam is an annual project organized by Playing for the Planet where gaming studios are challenged to implement 'green activations' into their games. This year’s event is about making small changes to the way we eat to drive demand for more sustainable food sources. With sustainability in mind, we are excited to give our players the opportunity to design a new in-game cooking dish. While resources in Aeternum may respawn infinitely, we must consider the environmental impact of our choices in the real world.

Join Feast for the Future to help bring more sustainable food options to Aeternum.

[h2]How to Join[/h2]

Visit the official New World: Aeternum Discord and fill out a recipe design contest form with the following information to compete.

• Gather 3 to 7 ingredients from our sustainable ingredient list.
  
• Craft your original consumable and recipe name.
  
• Season it with descriptive flavor text.
  

Once you’re satisfied with what might be the next trend in Aeternum cuisine, upload your form to the Discord by September 25. Extra ambitious Adventurers can submit up to 5 entries. No cooking is required, but don't let that stop you from sharing photos of your creations. Entries must be submitted through Discord to count.

Members of the Development and Community Team will choose 4 finalists before passing the plate to our community for a final Discord poll. Visit the #announcements channel on September 27 to vote for your favorite creation. The recipe with the most votes will be added to New World: Aeternum in a future update. Look forward to discovering which buffs the Development Team will include based on your recipe’s ingredients, name, and description. The full rules, terms, and conditions can be found here.

Each original recipe must include 3 to 7 total ingredients.
