The results are in! After a month of hard-fought creativity, the Modding Contest for 2025 has concluded and we’ve made the winners selection.



Our team has been blown away by the quality of all entries, and so will you – every entry is available for you to add to your game right now. Just head to the in-game Mod.io-Browser and expand your collection!

The contest consisted of three categories: Vehicles, Buildings, and Repaints (liveries).

While Transport Fever 2 has been out for several years now, this contest is a real testament to the mod-making community and proves that they continue to innovate within the game.

This creativity is often unsung, so with the recent modding contest we wanted to take the opportunity to reward those who selflessly expand the game for other players, and give them the ability to showcase their talent for bringing real-world inspiration to the world of Transport Fever – and they definitely delivered.

Mods are at the heart of the Transport Fever experience. As your empire grows, so does your need for variety, and that’s where mods take the game to the next level. Whether you’re recreating real-world routes, optimizing the most profitable lines, or letting your imagination run wild, mods can make all the difference. And we love them!

That’s why we’re thrilled to announce the Transport Fever 2 Modding Contest. This is your chance to showcase your creativity and compete for epic prizes with a total prize pool of $4,500, and for the winners the chance to visit the Urban Games offices, meet the team, and get an exclusive first look at our new project.

An incredible 2024 for us is coming to an end!



The introduction of the highly anticipated cross-platform mod support with this year’s Autumn Update has brought the amazing community closer together than ever before. To top it off, we celebrated the highest number of concurrent players since release five years ago. Seeing your continued love for Transport Fever 2 after all this time fills us with an immense amount of joy.

To thank you for this year we wanted to do something truly special — something we’ve never done before.

As visible in the frosty image above, our incredible art team has created the beautiful "Holiday Train", now available as a free download on mod.io for PC and all current-gen consoles to further support cross-platform modding - steam workshop to follow soon.

But that’s not all: you’ll also find a small surprise waiting for you in your steam library — a brand-new maintenance patch for Transport Fever 2, addressing the most reported issues of the past few months (consoles version is slightly delayed due to holidays at the console manufacturers).

And wait… there’s one more thing! Remember that something new and great we teased in our last post? While we can’t share the exact date just yet, we can tell you this: the day of the big announcement is closer to this Holiday post than it is to the one in 2025...
