New Year.

Hi.

To say that this year has been difficult is an understatement.
And to be honest, I don’t want to say anything, but I need to.

In all my 26 years of life, I have not seen as much shit as happened in this miserable year.
This year: I witnessed the world go crazy, attended my grandmother's funeral, attended the funeral of a friend, got into a financial hole, sold projects, returned to work as a cook and released 4 updates for FD.

All in all, it was a busy year.

I wanted to finish the update by the new year and launch the annual New Year's event, but unfortunately I have absolutely no strength, either morally or physically, the work takes me 13 hours a day, so there is very little time left for the project, and even less strength .

In short, there will be no new year.

However, I would like to wish that the new year still was, and it was beautiful, because the black stripes must someday end, in the name of the beginning of the white ones!

I hope that in the new year I will have more free time and I can devote it to this project so that updates come out more often and with better quality, making you happy!

What's new?!
  • Now skills are pumped passively! (Passive skill leveling directly depends on what your subordinate is doing, for example, if he runs a lot, then his running skill will grow)
  • Now construction is tied to the skill level of the builder!
  • Now the minimap darkens when night falls, and objects with light are highlighted on it!
  • Now the list of friends is displayed in the main menu, you can see which of your friends are online, visit their profile or invite them to the game!
  • Added screen resolution settings and support for windowed/fullscreen modes!
  • Now the speed of time can be changed by buttons 1,2,3. (With Shift held down if you have selected buildings/characters) [only if you have DLC!]
  • Sounds now play when some buildings are selected!
  • Expanded animations for going to the toilet for different genders!
  • The amount of food found in wastelands has been reduced.
  • Bugs fixed!

Recently, many different events have taken place, both on a global scale and on a more modest scale, the scale of my personal life.
I managed to: end a relationship with a loved one, change my place of residence, bury a loved one, lose the meaning of existence and ultimately gain freedom.
Based on my plans, this update should have been released much earlier, but life decided otherwise and dictates its own rules of the game, under which I have to adapt.
My birthday is in a week, on this date I planned the release of my project "Find Exit", as you probably guessed, the release is postponed, and if my plans do not fly to hell again, then I hope you will see it in the fall.
Well, now keep a small but pleasant update!

  • A new missile turret has been added!
  • A new laser turret has been added!
  • New model for regular turret.
  • Now an ordinary turret consumes not only electricity, but also garbage.
  • Now, when creating a world, you can select hardcore mode without saves.
  • Now messages from characters are displayed over their nicknames.
  • The trading system has been improved.
  • More information in the log.
  • Survivors' survivability increased by 75% for easy game, 50% for medium game, and 25% for hard game.
  • The minimum and maximum sizes of the minimap icons have been changed.
  • Bugs fixed.

Spring and gardening seem to cure any depression and I seem to be starting to feel better!
I still have small problems that prevent me from implementing a full-fledged crafting system in the game (which, by the way, has been ready for a long time, but the steam server does not want to give correct answers to requests through the inventory) and some other things, but in order not to stagnate, I I decided to leave it for the future and do other plans for this project, so I will try to release an update in the near future!
I also spent a lot of time in a cool game called Rust from a wonderful person Garry Newman and his Facepunch team. Once I was very inspired by this game, and start made a project in the first-person survival genre (the announcement was in the VKontakte group many years ago, but the project was soon frozen) and now, having played it again, I have some new ideas for the First Day game, which I would like to discuss with you.
What do you think about adding a new type of turret to the game? For example, would you like to see a rocket launcher in the game? Do you want to see more explosions and have powerful defense against bulky enemies?
And what do you think about adding a farming system to the game? For example, would you like to be able to tame wild animals, breed them and use them as a food source? Would you like to see a new greenhouse built that would be able to grow food?
