Hello everyone,

We offer a new update fixing or improving things you requested the last week.

*Minor Update v1.4.0.7*
- Diplomacy optimizations. When losing a war and signing a peace treaty, relations become reset with previous allies. This will address the case where alliances were kept and caused further tension and future wars.
- Further Battle AI optimizations.
- Further Auto-Design Optimizations.
- Fixed issue of Shared Design interface which made shared designs to not be saved consistently, when saving and then browsing to a next hull. Now the interface will properly clean up the data.
- Increased the cost of Hull/Bulkheads to reflect more accurately the combat capability of ships. Very powerful ships should cost more. Ship maintenance has been reduced accordingly.
- Fixed some potential issues of map pathfinding.

- Further Auto-Design Optimizations for a very noticeable improvement on the speed and effectiveness of the auto-design processes which affect the turn times positively.
- Improved the distribution of AI design planning in the campaign reducing the chance of an overloaded turn.
- Separated Siberian provinces which could create pathfinding issues for ships due to conflicted ports. The new Southern/Eastern Siberia provinces need a new campaign to relocate their ports.
- Fixed some false/positive errors related with barbettes.

Uploaded Optimized version x2 which includes the following:
- Fixed crash caused more often in the late game, related with ports of dissolved nations. You can continue your saves that had this crash issue, with this fix.
- Fixed issues that could confuse auto-design and make part placement errors, that resulted in delays.
- Fixed an old UI issue that did not allow to cancel a ship movement order in the campaign. Now you can use the Esc button for that.
- Reduced the negative impact on GDP during wartime.

The game continues to receive optimizations and fixes based on your recent feedback. Here is what we got for you now.

- Fixed issue that could cause multiple mission instances for ship task forces or submarine groups at the same turn, even for ships that were sunk.
- Land Army distribution is now more effective at realizing where to send troops for attack or defense.
- Further optimizations related to AI shipbuilding processes, resulting in faster campaign generation time, campaign turn times, and AI fleet generation time.
- Campaign AI is further improved in managing the economy and shipbuilding priorities.
- Improved campaign AI on how it sends low fuel to ports for refueling.
- Improved campaign’s diplomacy mechanics and now enemies of an ally will cause extra tension and will not be able to create positive relations with other members of the alliance. This new mechanic will bring to war against members of an alliance in a faster and more consistent way.

- Optimized the auto-design processes, reducing significantly the loading times of the campaign and the AI fleet generation time. This functionality works the best so far compared to all previous versions of the game, producing capable AI generated ships at the fastest time possible.
- Increased the cost of turrets/barrels affecting the cost of ships accordingly. This change also makes their combat value evaluation more accurate for AI and auto-resolve purposes.
- Fixed minor issues of the Ship damage window that appears during combat on the top right corner.
- Fixed minor issue causing deselection of ships when a ship was sunk.

- Fixed issue which could cause peace treaty to never become triggered and reset the relations to zero, resulting in never-ending wars. Please report if this issue is completely solved. Needs to be tested in several turns.
- Reduced the tension modifier for enemies of ally, giving the chance to delay a war.
- Tension events now show up always if they trigger.

Minor Update v1.4.0.5 Rx3

Hello all,

We continue to provide optimizations and fixes on the game. Our goal is to have a game that plays optimally, before our next content updates, which will mainly offer new hull models.

This update had to bring some armor and engine weights optimizations which may affect your designs, mostly positive, because you will notice a surplus of tonnage for higher tonnage ships.

The Campaign AI has been improved and is now able to adapt its ships better to the technology it has acquired.

Depending on the status of your ongoing campaign and the above, you may notice the AI to be overly active in designing ships and discard obsolete or invalid designs for consecutive turns, and you may have to re-adjust the tonnage of your old designs with a refit.

Please read the shortlist below, for more information:

*Minor Update v1.4.0.5*
- More game optimizations for faster campaign turns and AI shipbuilding processes. Additionally the AI now tries to design ships of the latest tech with more persistence. After installing this patch, in ongoing campaigns the turns may be temporarily slower due to the AI trying to adapt better to the technology. In new campaigns, this process will be more progressive and subtle.
- ASW of Surface ships enhanced in effect (to counter better the submarines)
- Base GDP improved for the weaker major nations, reducing the economic gap between them and the larger nations.
- Slight rebalance of Engine cost/ horsepower to make more distinct the difference between the various engines. This change will increase the cost of ships but may provide more free tonnage to your designs.
- Armor weights balanced to not restrict so much the large ships to become armored sufficiently. In most cases you will notice a small amount of free tonnage to most of your ships, especially the larger ones. Ships that may become overweight, depending on their design and various armor layouts, will need to be adjusted accordingly to be valid designs. This was an essential improvement asked by players but also required for ships of very large displacement to be useful (the auto-design also benefited, because previously it was delayed to finalize ships trying to find optimal armor layouts that were very heavy and difficult to balance).
- Fix of an old bug that caused hull cost modifiers to not apply. The fix affected the cost of ships, but now this works correctly. Mission funds were adjusted to follow all the above changes.
- Fix of issue causing allies of a nation to send land army aid without being at war yet with the enemy of the ally.
- Battle AI and Targeting optimizations.
- Other minor improvements.

- AI chooses to discard, make new or refit designs in a more distributed way in relation to time so that, on average, the turns pass faster.
- Further auto-design optimizations.
- Added technology effect for several propulsion components that affects ship maintenance directly. In this way you can control better according to fuel consumption and engine effectiveness the maintenance cost of your ships.
- Reduced base maintenance cost of ships.

- Armor weight balance for ship classes: DD, CL, CA according to recent player feedback. This change will possibly affect the weight of your designs but it was necessary. After this change, no more critical weight edits will be needed.
- Further Auto-Design improvement to "squeeze" available funds or free weight and utilize it effectively. It also will not fail so often because the AI logic will understand better when it is necessary to correct overweight or empty barbette issues, instead of discarding the design and waste the auto-design effort.
- Campaign AI should protect its own waters more effectively.

- Fixed an issue which could cause a campaign battle to not load, causing a freeze (.. "Battles" loading). The related fix will also increase the fps performance of 3D combat.

- Further optimizations for faster campaign turns and AI shipbuilding processes.
- Fixed remaining issues for Campaign AI so that it has enough designs to build ships and not only subs.
- Improved the submarine logic so now they can generate missions vs transports more often with proper results of sinking them.
- Transport losses affect more the transport capacity (each loss reduces more percentage).
- Ships in sea now train about +15% faster. This is not only more logical but also more rewarding for taking your fleets out at sea, aiding also the AI which usually has very active task forces.
- Fixed ship flags becoming transparent according to camera view angle, especially during bad weather.
- Improved Campaign AI on how it groups task forces to attack or defend regions.
- Improved land army distribution logic.
- Fixed some bordering connection issues in Sudan, South Sudan and Manjuria regions.
- Various minor fixes.

- Fixed issues which created inconsistency in Task Force interaction.
- Battle AI and Division logic improvements.
- Aiming & Targeting logic improvements, making it more dynamic. When the ship finds the range and hits the target, the hit rate will rise progressively unless the target makes sharp maneuvers.
- Fixed Campaign AI issue which prevented it from designing new ships, and eventually was forced to build only submarines or low tech ships, even when its tech level was superior.
- Fixed alliance issue which made nations declare war forced by their allies or diplomatic actions, even if they had a recent peace treaty.
- Fixed minor issue in smoke duration text.
- Fixed problem of UI refresh during auto-design which could cause bugs in the shipbuilding result or screen flickering.
- Minor fix in decor boats that would not disappear when overlapping with other parts.
