  • Fixed major bug of the new fire control system, which made the left-side guns to lose sync in aiming and always have inferior accuracy.
  • Fine tuned long range accuracy for all guns.
  • Fixed overpenetration calculation issues.
  • Fixed bug that caused a campaign to end prematurely.

Hotfix Update v1.1.5

Hello again Admirals,

New and important fixes are available!

*Hotfix Update v1.1.5*
  • Fixed an old major bug of gun ranges which could be inconsistent when you saved ships in custom battles, or restarted a custom battle or saved ships in campaign. Now gun ranges will accurately follow the saved technology stats in all circumstances and the gun ranges will accurately display their limits according to shell type used. Aiming and shell ballistics adjusted to follow this important fix.
  • Fixed potential old problems of gun accuracy at short ranges especially when crew training is low and gun technology is very early.
  • Fixed a major campaign crash problem which made saves not playable (happening when ships of dissolved nations were trapped in ports of a different nation).
  • Campaign turn time further optimized.
  • Penetration estimation mechanics enriched with more accurate calculations. You will notice that the penetration estimation will more accurately follow the ship’s range and orientation.
  • Crew kills increased in combat.
  • Other minor.

Hello all,
Please note that the game has just received the following fixes and improvements:

*Hotfix Update v1.1.4*
- Improved shell dispersion: Lessens the chance to hit accidentaly other ships, which could cause frustration to players.
- Further penetration estimation improvements.
- Auto-Design fine tuning.
- Targeting fine tuning.
- Improved gun horizontal aiming, fixing cases where a gun was not able to fire while the target was within its line of sight.
- Special ironclad guns (found in Naval Academy missions) balanced to follow the latest penetration/aiming changes.
- Fixed Ammo UI indication not following actual changes in ammo selection of ship design.
- When Major Nations are dissolved their ships will properly disband. Previously the ships could remain in active service in other ports, bugging the campaign in various ways.
- Various other small fixes in UI and optimizations in the interface.

Greetings all,

Here is another set of fixes and improvements.

*Hotfix Update v1.1.3*
  • Fixed bug that caused ships to suddenly stop movement or crash the game.
  • Fixed issue of formations that could cause ship direction to jitter fast.
  • Fixed other bugs that could cause battle or campaign instability.
  • Some UI fixes/optimizations.
  • Campaign and Ship Design performance optimizations for a higher fps (not final).
  • Fixed bug that made minor nations seek alliance with dissolved major nations.
  • Balance of campaign economy: Ship Maintenance slight increase / Tech Budget-Port Capacity cost slight increase. Economy could become too easy to manage without these changes. Please note that your ongoing campaigns will be affected immediately.
  • Fixed too low shell velocity which could cause shell trajectories to have a very high arc or guns to not show shells flying away from the barrels.
  • Fine tuning in Aiming, Battle AI, Auto-Design.

What's Next: Plans until Summer

Hello everyone,

Yesterday we have fully released Ultimate Admiral: Dreadnoughts and apparently we have to offer some clarifications to pacify players who think we will no longer support the game.

Ultimate Admiral: Dreadnoughts has exited Steam Early Access but it does not mean it is getting abandoned. It is NOT the final release and we plan to add many enhancements on the game until Summer. Players would have been absolutely right if the game had breaking bugs such as not loading, crashing all the time, having less content than promised in our Early Access notes etc.

On the contrary, the game is having a fully playable campaign, 10 major nations, a complete set of strategic features, and we do not have to remention the replayability of the Custom Battle system and the Naval Academy. The game now can be provided to a larger number of players who wish to enjoy, arguably, a good naval game. Yes, there are some issues. We are actually solving everything that is left and is considered a bug or an inconsistency, but surely we will not be able to please everyone, as it happens with all games.

In the following days you will get from us a complete road map with the remaining features we plan to add on the game plus a set of known issues that need fixing. Features include new weather and graphical environments, UI polish, improvements on the spotting system and many new ship models. We will also create a special thread where you can help us list what is mostly bothering you, so we can try to fix it.
