DevBlog 13: New Roster Units

Greetings Commanders,

We’ve 24 new playable units incoming to the battlefields of Crossfire: Legion!
That takes the playable options up to 45 units! Imagine the combinations.

Early Access on May 24th will bring this expanded unit roster for each faction for you to unlock and begin to experiment with. It’s your army to customize and lead to victory.

This video will help you get familiar with those units so you can best vanquish your foes.

Let’s see what new additions bolster the ranks of Global Risk:
  • Infantry: the Grenade Trooper packs a powerful punch.
  • Infantry: the Shield Trooper, for defensive commanders who like to tank early fights.
  • Vehicle: the Gladiator was made for destroying air units.
  • Vehicle: the Marshal, delivers heavy blows from a distance while maintaining high mobility.
  • Tank: the Imperator will bombard from afar to create breaches in enemy defenses.
  • Air: the Rapier offers you air supremacy.
  • Air: the Halberd delivers surgical strikes.
  • Air: the Scepter rapidly transports your units across enemy lines.

In response, here’s what Black List commanders can bring to the fore:
  • Infantry: the Fire Ant and its flamethrower will decimate large groups of foes in close combat.
  • Infantry: the Jackal helps savvy commanders perfect their hit and run tactics.
  • Vehicle: the Beetle rapidly incinerates enemy structures by taking its flames on the go.
  • Vehicle: the Scorpion launches area denying gas grenades and will outrange most foes.
  • Vehicle: the Centipede uses its powerful electrical arcs to heal and boost allies, or slow enemies.
  • Air: the Prion hinders enemies with its EMP rockets.
  • Air: the Condor uses its explosive drones to pick off slow enemies and structures from afar.
  • Air: the Albatross aids rapid troop deployments with its expansive cargo holds and durability.


And New Horizon offers these AI enhanced tools to shake things up:
  • Infantry: the Ogre deals area of effect damage from afar
  • Infantry: the Minotaur wields hard hitting heavy energy cannons.
  • Vehicle: the Manticore’s dual cannons increase enemies' vulnerability to damage
  • Vehicle: the Cerberus’s powerful railgun punches through multiple targets in a straight line before it then teleports to a new firing position.
  • Vehicle: the Hades barrages ground and air targets with its explosive drones.
  • Mech: the Hyperion fires salvoes of explosives and can jump over obstacles.
  • Air: the Siren offers advanced support by creating a damaging and debilitating energy field around itself.
  • Air: the Charon reliably and rapidly gets New Horizon forces wherever they need to be.

You’ll need to unlock these units as you play and experiment with them to find the roster that will lead you to victory. We’re looking forward to seeing what units you’ll deploy to the battlefield on May 24th.
