Castra Exiting Early Access stage

Unfortunately, we feel that Castra has not been developed to its "Version 1.0", however, the "Early Access" status is no longer relevant as the game is not in active development right now.

Price Drop and Future Updates

Hey everyone,
The price of Castra was just cut for $10 USD to $5!!
I believe I made a mistake pricing the game too high, and as a result lost many potential players and feedbacks needed to help improve the game.

Future Updates
Castra has not received any major updates recently, and there is good reason for that. I have been working on a major redesign for the game that attempts to fix some of the core design problems with Castra. However these changes are so massive they will take a lot time to complete, and will not be recognizable as the same game.

With that in mind I am planning on releasing this massively redesigned and overhauled game as a separate title sometime in the future.

I didn't know about the design issues until releasing the game and seeing the underwhelmed reactions of players. I apologize and will continue doing my best to make great games. All players of Castra will be taken care of, and will receive a free copy of my next game as well. I'm looking forward to how much fun this game will be.

Stay tuned. I won't have many updates for now, but a lot of work is being done behind the scenes.

Today is the day!
We are super excited to release Castra, and it has taken a lot of work to get here. Of course, this is just the beginning! We still have a long way to go, but we'll do it together. If you will join us, please join our community, give feedback and make suggestions.

Early Access Launch News



Castra launch date:

The game's price is $9.99 USD with a 15% launch discount from Feb 20th-27th.

We will be launching with 2 factions and 2 maps, with many more to come throughout this year.

Our mission is to make the best strategy game we possibly can. We need your input to make that happen!

Each faction has three unit types, here's a quick peak of what they're like.

[h3]Infantry (melee)[/h3]

Infantry units are low cost, low health units that cause destruction on the battlefield.
Weakness Tanks are the most powerful against infantry
[h3]Tank[/h3]

Tanks deal splash damage that destroys infantry, but is relatively weak against air units.
Strength Tanks are the most powerful against Infantry

Weakness Planes are the most powerful against Tanks
[h3]Bomber[/h3]

The bomber deals maximum damage to armored ground units. Tanks don't stand a chance.
Strength Planes are the most powerful against Tanks

Weakness Infantry(ranged) are the most powerful against Planes

Happy Holidays guys! I hope everyone is looking forward to the new year, and enjoying some time off to take it easy and play games. We are going to hit the ground running in 2020 and I can't wait to share what we've been working on!

Unit Tiers
Multiple unit tiers is something that has been planned from the beginning, and we are finally implementing it. Super excited to show this off.
Combat AI
Rebuilt combat AI to make them more intelligent and interesting to battle
New Faction
Hopefully we can introduce a third faction into the game this month!
Public Testing(?)
We'll see if we get this far, would be awesome to get more player feedback :)
