Whats Going On With The Necronomistore Series?
Hello everyone,
Wow, what a year it has been.
What an awful year it has been.
Isn't every year come to think of it?
Anywho, our scatterbrains over at the Oddfellows HQ finally hatched a good idea in regards to the Necronomistore games, We might be biting off more than We can chew, or at the very least for now.
If you are out of the loop, Necronomistore: Black Friday isnt the only Necronomistore game in development and definitely not the only game We are working on.
To combat this, we have had the grand old idea of merging Necronomistore: Before Black Friday (the smaller prequel game) and Necronomistore: Black Friday together, albeit leaning more in Necronomistore: Before Black Fridays direction with regards to location and story. What a mouthful.
Don't worry however, The plot and setting for the old Necronomistore: Black Friday will be used in the future in a later Necronomistore game as its too golden not to.
The steam store page for Before Black Friday will be used for another upcoming project soon so please migrate your wishlist's over to Black Fridays steam store page
Now that the big spiel is out of the way, what can I tell you about Necronomistore: Black Friday?
Necronomistore: Black Friday has had a rocky development due to how complicated it has been to get the game detailed enough as we want to convey the location.
The shelves are choc-full of different products and unique art and there are small and stupid almost obsessive details like leaves brushed into a corner/tucked behind shelves or floor scratches close to the loading bay back doors, the game world feels unique and lived in.
Now for the bad news, the game is short as heck even after nearly a 2 year development time and still has a long way to go before we can really show anything in motion but don't threat, this game really is something special and will be well worth the wait alone.
The plot keeps changing and we want to keep the experience fresh for all of you out there so we will try not to spoil too much but if any of you has broke a sweat over a minimum wage retail job, this will bring back painful memories.
Anyhow, thanks for sticking with us.
Some groovy free short little projects coming soon so stay tuned.
Apologies for the lack of updates, now back to hibernation for a while.
Kind Regards,
- Oddfellows
