BALANCE CHANGES

Manta rays now should be easier to kill in the SWORD only run by deflecting bullets back at them. Previously it was really difficult to kill mantas unless you had the Fireball or stamina buddy. This new attack should bring up the difficulty against the mantas as well as provide more options for combat.
  • Porcupines can shoot quills in sword only run after a loop
I wanted to prevent porcupines from shooting in the sword only. But after doing a loop I'm going to re-add them back in to heighten the difficulty for the sword only run.


  • Speedrun chests have been reworked. After you exit a shop a separate timer will count down from 2:00 to 0:00 instead of checking to see if you're in minute 2:00, 4:00, 6:00 8:00, etc.


The advantage of this system is that if you have a rough start in the beginning and spend 12 minutes arriving at the first shop area it will not carry over to the other areas giving you a fresh start.

First area loop art change. New title theme will play.


FIXED BUGS
  • Boss health bars are now aligned properly.
  • Sword only run had a camera bug that locked your camera against the Red Reaper.
  • L1 The Thing seems to only go Red Reaper relative to L0 max health (so 1/3rd on loop)
  • Apples no longer fall into the sky while being attracted to you
  • Key pieces are outlined white to see easier


Look how hard it is to see the dropped key on the ground (not the hud). It was really easy to miss. So I put in a large white outline to make it easier to see in really dark areas.

  • Prevented Longsword the Sequel from appearing in the shop after selecting it.
  • Crash on the breaking boxes has been fixed
  • Stamina buddy eyes are now gone when you are interacting with shop items.
  • A camera bug that locked your Camera in the THING fight during sword only run.
  • Corpses will no longer spawn in midair in the sky level.
  • Fixed a bug that caused a sword swing on manta ray when doing a roll in Sword Only mode
  • Prevented Shops from displaying decimals based prices in loops.
  • Fixed a bug showing an incorrect amount of health in the Manta ray level.

  • Fixed the second dungeon music fading out when going down a new hole.
  • Prevented bullets from disappearing if you jump on top of them.
  • Fireballs count for combos, as well as stamina projectiles
  • SCREAM UPGRADE: When taking damage all the enemy hurt sounds will be on a delay based on how far they are.
