Main Assembly 1.1 Patch - now live for Beta testing!

Hello inventors!

We've been working hard to address a lot of feedback and are making the new build available to the community, addressing issues listed a little further down. Please share any feedback via Discord and we'll aim to release to the main branch by late August.

How to access the build:
If this sounds like something for you, this is how you switch to the Experimental branch. In Steam right-click on the game and then select Properties:

Then go to the Betas tab and select experimental from the dropdown:

The builds we put on this branch will not have been QA tested, so it will possibly more unstable and have more bugs, but it will be more exciting!

How to report issues:
To report any issues, pls let us know via Discord

Main Assembly 1.0 is now available!
Inventors, creative minds of the future! Main Assembly, has today left Steam Early Access - and has officially launched! Hooray!
Featuring a comprehensive array of freeform building tools, players can now construct an even more significant number of intricate machines and robots thanks to a brand new update launched alongside the game’s full release.

The Final Frontier content introduces players to zero gravity, with a new sandbox map that includes a space station, a new space-based challenge level, the ability to add rocket engines and lasers to creations, and cosmetics so the in-game drone can cosplay as **an** astronaut. I mean, what more could you possibly ask for?!

As our Inventors; our wonderfully creative community know: Main Assembly has continually expanded during its Early Access phase, adding aquatic systems, environments, and Bot Brawls (a new game mode for players to battle against each other and their creations through online multiplayer) to the game over the last few months, regularly providing more activities for players.

Houston, we have a trailer:

[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]

Main Assembly key features:

 • Freeform building: Construct any robot or contraption imaginable and customise them with numerous cosmetic parts
 • Solo & multiplayer sandbox gameplay: Work individually to collect 156 stars in 24 single-player challenges or compete against each other in online multiplayer activities. Share inventions over Steam Workshop, and enjoy endless gameplay possibilities
 • Powerful visual programming: Harness the power of *Main Assembly’s* visual programming language to set up unique controls for creations, and even automate them with various types of sensors
 • Advanced physics: Experience aerodynamics and robot destruction; fly, drift, and destroy your creations

You’re the designer, engineer and architect - if you can imagine it you can create it! Construct robots of any shape or size from eight-legged spider bots to eerie UFO contraptions. When you’ve completed your masterpiece, craft the ultimate race course, battle your bots in an arena - or fly them through space, all whilst completing a vast array of objectives! Imagination is more important than knowledge. Alone or with fellow inventors, envision your design then make it a reality.

Thank you for your support thus far, Inventors — and welcome, new creative minds! We're happy to see you here, and we can't wait to see the madness that your conjure up!

Main Assembly 1.0 is OUT NOW on Steam. Grab it today!

Main Assembly -- Dev Log #38 Launch, 1.0 & Space!
Hey folks! *waves at the screen*
We hope everyone had a good end to the year -despite the current situation - and that all of you got off to a solid, creative start in the new year! 2021 will help you push your imagination to its limits, not just your bots!

Everyone is back from their vacation, fully rested and eager to get back into the groove of eliminating nasty, unwelcome bugs. Die bugs, DIE.

We're less than a week away from releasing the full version of Main Assembly! As fun as it has been working on the game; we are delighted to finally ship it.

We are very proud of the game we have made and also very thankful for the support we have received from the community. Speaking of our community, some have already started building spaceships for the upcoming release. How cool is that! We see you, crafting your ships for the stars! Great stuff, carry on :)

Our curiosity about what types of space-ships you will build and how they will tackle the challenges is immense; we have had a blast playing around with them, and we hope that you will too!

We also hope that people who have played through the game will try out the challenges again with all the new and cool parts they've unlocked. We can recommend that because it's so much fun!

Don't forget - 26th of January is the release of v1.0 of Main Assembly! Who's excited about SPACE?! Reply with 'yeet' if you are.

Thank you for all the support so far! Stay safe and stay building!

Main Assembly -- Dev Log #37 Space, Spaceships. Roadmap, Festive Competition!!

Hello! Hello! Hello!

We hope everyone is getting into the Holiday spirit! As much as we love working on Main Assembly, we do need our vacation; we are looking forward to ending this week in a smashing way!

It's been a peculiar year, many fantastic creations from Inventors like yourselves have helped keep the spirits up! We hope to see even more fantastic inventions in 2021 :).
Let's get to it, shall we?
We are continuing our work of sweeping, fine-tuning the game and improving it. This time, we were reminded of how challenging the gauntlet trial can be! Ooft.

We have something super special for you this week! We got Zero-G in and working! Take a look AT. THAT! Very, very good.

We are having so much fun with this, even at this early stage! Creating spaceships with lasers! PEW! PEW! Maybe aliens will try out Main Assembly one day. I'm sure the extraterrestrials would make fantastic bots :D

Just imagine the possibilities! Tell your friends! Tell the alie---shhh! Ooops. We're definitely alone we promise ;) Or are we...? [pensive music]

We have also added another explosive of using on aeroplanes and submarines. But this is Main Assembly and, let's be honest, we never know what you are going to come up with. Haha.

Speaking of that, something that just totally blew our minds with the detail level - is this week's spotlight. How did you even create that? Wow! Please make sure to download this one from the workshop and take a look: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2311914609
Community Spotlight: Bot Of The Week!

Roadmap
We've got lasers, we've got plasma, we've got explosives, we've got zero-g, we've got a server browser, and we've got decals! WE HAVE IT ALL!

I guess this time; it's also going to be our most significant update yet, again. We love a fat update.
