Hey all Builders,

A big thanks to you all from the dev team! Your trust made Sandrock become the hottest newly released game in Steam for a time!

We have found many players reported optimization issues. Some players have said a 2060 or even 3060 graphics card couldn't maintain a good framerate. This isn't necessarily the fault of your GPU's quality, but rather that the CPU usage isn't enough. The framerate is currently limited by the CPU speed instead of the GPU. The CPU is doing a lot of work per frame to calculate NPC behaviors and we are hoping to optimize this soon.

In addition, we will release a hotfix soon to solve some problems regarding the launch day bug reports, plus release more bug fixes patches over the upcoming weeks to make your experience better as soon as possible.

Important note: All OST keys went out for people who backed $35 tier and above. Closed Beta Access (Kickstarter) and Early Access players will NOT need to purchase the game again. It will automatically update in your Steam library on the day of full release – the only thing you need to do is let the game update between releases (Don't forget to switch back to the default branch). We're aiming to keep save files compatible into the full release as much as possible. Keep an eye on us and get notified when we release the new updates!

In this Early Access version, you will experience an average of 20-30 hours of gameplay in this charming desert city, with more content, features, voiceovers, bugfixes, optimizations, and more to be added over time. Start building your workshop and enjoy your life of crafting, farming, gathering, and making friends with locals! Furthermore, Early Access players will have the opportunity to play the multiplayer mode in its early stages later this year. Playing with your friends? Join us for this party!!!

The Early Access begins soon! We're shooting for launching Early Access on May 26!

To backers who supported $15 or more, your Steam key(s) have been mailed to your Kickstarter email address (Note: We have only sent out Steam keys so far. Console keys will be sent out as soon as the console version is ready, which is after Sandrock's Early Access ends and the game is released on PC.) All Backers who pledged for Steam keys: please redeem your keys from your Email!
