Baldur's Gate 3 players, delete your early access saves before launch

Baldur's Gate 3 has been keeping me occupied on a daily basis now as I explore all that the RPG game's early access build has to offer. Larian Studios has obviously put in a massive amount of work, as I haven't even gotten close to being bored yet. The full launch this week is exciting nonetheless, and between the new character creation and story content coming, Baldur's Gate 3 may very well end up as my game of the year. I'll be a sweaty little D&D powergamer in Baldur's Gate 3 and you can't stop me

One of my first homes on the internet was the official D&D 3rd Edition Character Optimization Forums. It was a place for weirdos who'd read every book cover to cover, and it had two sides. One was helping people make a cool character that would also be effective in an edition of D&D that was notoriously full of bad build choices. The other was just absolutely breaking the game: finding strange combos among dozens of rulebooks that used and abused the "rules as written" to spit on "rules as intended" and crank out unplayable combos that did things like make a guy who could throw boulders hard enough to kill a god, or a kobold who could abuse shapeshifting to become so strong even boulder guy couldn't kill them...

Baldur's Gate 3 may not have Golden Pantaloons, but you can get purple underwear by watching some Twitch streams

Delete your Baldur's Gate 3 early access saves and uninstall the game, say Larian

Update: Larian Studios have now posted a detailed guide on how to prepare for Baldur's Gate 3's launch. The Steam blog says that early access saves and profiles "aren't compatible with the release version... and leaving them in your save folders may in some fringe cases cause issues."
