It's been a great time to be a fan of interesting-looking Baldur's Gate 3 custom campaign mods so far this year, and that certainly doesn't look to be changing any time soon. Another project that looks pretty ambitious has just put out a demo, and it's all about what happens to the base game's Shadow-Cursed Lands once their namesake's been lifted.
If you're like me, you've spent 90% of your waking hours since you learned that Baldur's Village - the Stardew Valley mod which adds a town full of Baldur's Gate 3 characters to the chill farming game - had come out wondering one thing. How its upcoming Halsin romance might handle the base game's beary bits. Here's an update.
The cool mod which brings a bit of Baldur's Gate 3 to Stardew Valley has now been released, so you can find out exactly how annoying it'd be to try and grow turnips with a sassy vampire, rather than doing the obvious thing having him help you slap up a giant brain. The good news doesn't end there, either, as the Baldur's Village team has now moved on to working on letting you romance Halsin.

I'm faced with a dilemma. Arabella, a little Tiefling child, has stolen a precious idol from the local druids at The Grove. She's now facing death at the fangs of acting First Druid Kahga's serpent, Teela. You have several options, some meaning Arabella will live, others meaning Arabella will die. On every other playthrough, I've talked Kagha off the ledge, but there's a fresh Dark Urge option here: flick your eyes toward the cave entrance, and urge the girl to run. It's over in a flash. Fangs pierce flesh. A life snuffed out. It's my first real evil act as Dark Urge in Baldur's Gate 3, and I can already feel a heaviness in my stomach.
