Baldur's Gate 3 patch 7 is finally here, and it's got mod tools

It's been a long time coming, but the Baldur's Gate 3 patch 7 release date has finally arrived. Larian Studios has been hard at work on what's expected to be the final major update for its masterful Dungeons and Dragons RPG. The best game of 2023 by almost any metric you care to check, BG3 has continued to grow and improve in the year since it launched out of early access. Among the key features on show here are more evil ending cinematics, improvements to Honor Mode, and a comprehensive mod manager along with official BG3 mod tools.

Desperate to play Baldur's Gate 3 Patch 7 on console? You and Mac folks will have to wait a little bit longer

Baldur's Gate 3's uber-beefy Patch 7 has just arrived for PC bringing with it enough changes to match the word count of some University dissertations. However, if you're hoping to delve into it on console or Mac, you'll have to wait just a little bit longer - until October to be exact - in order to play it.

Baldur's Gate 3 Patch 7 has just dropped on PC, bringing with it those evil endings, mod support and more

WAKE UP! Baldur's Gate 3's uber-beefy Patch 7 is finally here, bringing with it all of the stuff Larian had previously announced or teased - such as those extra evil endings and mod support - as part of its total of "over 1,000 fixes and improvements".

Thanks to previous community updates from the studio, we already knew that the patch was set to bring with it a bunch of new cutscenes to help give "even darker conclusions to your most sinister playthroughs" and the official modding tools folks have been waiting for. Well, having been teased to be coming this week during a PAX panel over the weekend, they're now here.
