Baldur's Gate 3 director glad it "didn't compromise" and found success

Baldur's Gate 3 director Swen Vincke at Larian is a bit surprised that the colossal DnD RPG has been received so well in a year filled with stiff competition, mainly because the team "didn't compromise" on the vision it had for the game. With Tears of the Kingdom, Final Fantasy 16, Phantom Liberty, and Diablo 4 just some of the RPGs that could rival BG3 this year, the adventure in the Forgotten Realms still comes out on top.

Baldur's Gate 3 is my favorite game of all time, and then some. Larian Studios created an immersive virtual Dungeons & Dragons experience like no other I've played before, and I'm still obsessing over the game's lore months following its initial release date. Now that a good portion of the public has played through Larian Studios' masterpiece and game award events have commenced, I'm excited to see Baldur's Gate 3 win as 2023's GOTY at The Golden Joystick Awards.

Baldur's Gate 3 Xbox Series S issues being ironed out, getting "very close now"

Larian Studios is making headway with the Xbox Series S version of Baldur's Gate 3.

According to the studio's founder and CEO, Swen Vincke, there is still some work left to do on the game for Series S, but it's getting "very close."

"Got a nice present from our engineers," said Vincke on X. "Ensuring memory is well under control and having buffer for peaks was the main thing holding us back. I think this will benefit all platforms too. Still some work left but very close now."
