Larian sends fan new limited edition Baldur's Gate 3 vinyl after melting mishap

"I’m honestly heartbroken right now." Reddit user Naoness shared those words alongside a video of their badly damaged limited edition Baldur's Gate 3 vinyl earlier this month. It was accidentally left out in direct sunlight hot enough it melted the record (sparking plenty of memes about Astarion's "full concentrated power of the sun" quote)...

New Baldur's Gate 3 mod recreates the first game, so I guess I'll play it again

Where would we be without mods? The fan-made creations can make your every dream a reality, from adding Pokemon to Skyrim, to creating entirely new games out of the assets of another. The most successful mod of all time, if you remember, goes by the name of Counter-Strike. Even games with seemingly unlimited replayability, like Baldur's Gate 3, have mods that expand or transform the RPG into something completely different. The latest one to catch my attention takes players on a trip down memory lane, to where the series first began.

Baldur's Gate 3 custom campaign mod recreates the original Baldur's Gate's Candlekeep and prologue

A new Baldur's Gate 3 custom campaign mod has emerged onto the Nexus like Gale's mitt through that portal, and it's one you'll likely want to check out if you fancy getting nostalgic for one of RPG's classic siblings. Return to Candlekeep, as you might have gleaned from the title, aims to recreate the prologue of the original Baldur's Gate, by taking you to a certain library fortress.

It's not surprising someone's given this a go. After all, daunting tasks as such things might be, a good number of the BG3 custom campaigns being put together with the Moonglasses toolkit have opted to try their hand at taking players to revamped versions of locations from the previous two games.

Baldur's Gate 3's Neil Newbon wants to reprise his role, but when people say 'this character's just like Astarion, would you like to play them?' he's 'like not really, no'

The actor behind Astarion, Neil Newbon, has gone on record as being keen to play Astarion again. Everyone's favourite spawn from Baldur's Gate 3 has stolen hearts (including mine), and you'd be forgiven for thinking Newbon would jump at the chance to play something similar—not so...

Warframe turned BG3's "unf**kable" narrator into a badass, romancable heroine

I met Amelia Tyler in the restroom at Tennocon, Warframe's annual community event. The stars aligned an hour before my allocated interview slot with her (the interview did not take place in said restroom, to clarify) and it felt like, as a result, we'd formed a bond forged in fire and bad-smelling soap. In many ways, our newfound friendship felt akin to the ones I'd formed in Baldur's Gate 3 with Astarion, Lae'zel, and my beloved Shadowheart: a chance meeting that changed, in BG3's case, the course of history, and in our case, the general vibe of our interview (and potentially history, too). It's a relationship that you never quite have with the narrator of Faerûn's greatest tale to date; she's a faceless whisper, tempting and dissuading in her own way. She isn't a visible entity like Karlach, Wyll, and company, but she is still a character in her own right.
