Welcome to the RPG Maker Festival Sale! RPG Maker Day is here again, and we’re kicking off a weeklong celebration of all things RPG Maker.
First up, we have an exciting announcement! A new, parallel iteration of RPG Maker is coming: RPG Maker Unite! RPG Maker Unite is based on Unity and contains a stash of new and convenient features to allow users making more compelling games than ever! To continue our celebration of RPG Maker, we would be remiss if we didn’t also celebrate the RPG Maker Community itself!
That is why not only are we having a huge sale across all RPG Maker products, we’ve also reached out to devs all around the world who have used RPG Maker to fulfill their dreams of making games to include them in the sale. But there are many people in the RPG Maker community who haven’t reached that goal yet. Many people have taken only the first few steps into the wilder world of game making, and are still unsure how to make that dream a reality. And that is where we celebrate one of the best things about the community: All the helping hands out there reaching down to give new users a hand up.
With tutorials, graphic and audio resources, plugins, and just general troubleshooting the community helps take a neophyte maker and turn them into a veteran who can help the next generation of makers.
And that is why on top of the fantastic deals across our RPG Maker products the focus of our RPG Maker Festival will be bringing that same feeling to Steam! Have a tutorial to share? Some resources you’ve made? Or maybe you are here to learn, we have a plethora of events throughout the week for everyone!
We will be rebroadcasting our Making in MZ Streams as a Marathon starting tonight, and in addition, every day over the next week, we’ll have at least one completely new broadcast for you to watch at the top of the RPG Maker MZ page! RPG Maker tutorials, Game Design advice, and even interviews with some of the most successful RM devs. You can find the full schedule here:

Every day at 10am Pacific we’ll be posting a new beginner focused Steam guide written by the RPG Maker staff or a veteran member of the community.
Our first guide is already up and can be found here, be sure to check back in daily to see the next guide!
We want to see even more guides for RPG Maker MZ in Steam, and to do that, we are holding the RPG Maker Festival Guide Drive! Have a tutorial you’ve written somewhere else, or maybe you want to write a whole new tutorial? Add it into the Steam Guides and be entered to win a prize!
The RPG Maker staff will pick their favorite guide submitted during the Festival week to receive a $25 Steam Gift Card! Additionally, one random guide submitted during the Festival will also win one.
Do your skills lie more in creating graphics, music, or code than in teaching others? Don’t worry, we have an event for you as well. Let’s fill the MZ Workshop with tons of materials for everyone to use in their game! This will be held just like our Guide Drive. You can submit any materials you created to the Workshop, old or new, as long as it hasn’t been on the MZ workshop before.
Our favorite new resource wins a $25 Steam Gift Card, as well as one random workshop creation uploaded during the drive!
And for the final event of our magnificent festival, we need a festival atmosphere! Create a map with a maximum pixel size of 1920x1080 that you think screams “festival” and submit it as a screenshot. Make sure you have permission to use all the materials you use in your map, and include both the credits and the word “FESTIVAL” in all caps in your screenshot description!
We will award prizes for our top 3 maps!

2nd Place: $25 Steam Gift Card
3rd Place: $10 Steam Gift Card
