Fall Guys is threatening us with Big Yeetus

Fall Guys are used to being jostled around a bit, but they're about to get a lot more jostled. Developer Mediatonic is teasing a new addition to Fall Guys that it calls 'Big Yeetus,' and it's a spinning hammer designed to do to Fall Guys what Barry Bonds did to baseballs.

Big Yeetus is a large, rotating mallet that Mediatonic says will appear randomly in Fall Guys shows to "shake things up". The official Fall Guys Twitter account shared a clip of Big Yeetus in action that shows a single hapless Fall Guy getting thwacked across a platform of spinning concentric circles (before being squashed by tumbling, giant watermelons).

"Big Yeetus will randomly appear in levels - to shake things up", Fall Guys tweeted. "Big Yeetus is Chaotic Neutral. Big Yeetus is not your friend. Big Yeetus is not your enemy." And indeed, based on the clip alone, it's clear that an encounter with Big Yeetus could either help or hurt your chances at qualifying in a round - it could boost you across a series of obstacles, but could just as conceivably bat you off the course completely.

Fall Guys' brand bid war ends with four new skins and $1 million for charity

Fall Guys is big, and everyone wants in - including every gosh-darned brand on Twitter. The Fall Guys team opened up a skin contest two weeks ago, promising an in-game skin for whichever brand would pledge the largest donation to the accessibility charity Special Effect. Now, the drive has come to a close, and the winning bidders are Tyler 'Ninja' Blevins, Jimmy 'MrBeast' Donaldson, Aim Lab, and G2 Esports.

The four names teamed up for a $1 million USD donation to Special Effect a few minutes before the close of the contest, and the Fall Guys Twitter account confirms that "we will include four costumes as a special thank you to the amazing people that made this possible". The artists at Mediatonic will be working with the winning bidders directly on the new costumes.

The previous high bidder had been YouTube channel FGTeeV, with a pledge of $510,000 USD, so the bids had already been getting hot. Prior to that, Aim Lab and Ninja had teamed up for a $500,000 joint pledge, but it seems they had to bring in some additional muscle to secure the top bid. And by 'muscle' I mean 'cash'.

Fall Guys is a sex game now

Fall Guys is a quasi-battle royale game, and now it's a sex game too. Using some open source sex toy technology, you can have the vibrations of the multiplayer game sent to your sexual assistant of choice, and have a right old time.

Daily Dot NSFW reporter Ana Valens demonstrated the experience recently on a stream. Essentially, you're hooking up a vibrator to whatever machine you're playing Fall Guys on, and whenever the controller would normally rumble, your toy does so instead. It's done using the Intiface Games Haptics Router, a piece of tech from creator Kyle Machulis that turns games into "intimate interaction environments". Generally speaking, anything that has 'Xbox Gamepad Compatible' can be used, and most VR games made in Unity can work with it, too.

You can view a clip of Ana's stream below, and as you might imagine, the already playful game has become all the more giggle-inducing. Tech like this has existed in the games industry for years now - the PlayStation 2 had a peripheral not far off what's happening here. The simplicity and sheer chaos of Fall Guys lends itself quite easily to this kind of foreplay (for lack of a better word).

Gamescom - Fall Guys season 2 brings medieval inspired skins and levels

We now have a better idea of what's coming in the second season of Fall Guys. Developer Mediatonic took part in Geoff Keighley Gamescom's Opening Light Live segment and revealed what's in store.

If you thought that the lovable bumble royale was Takeshi's Castle inspired before, it certainly looks like Mediatonic is leaning into that now. There are various wizard and knight themed skins coming, and several of the new levels feature castles, too. One of the levels also looks like it involves pushing blocks around, which is neat. If you'd like to see this all for yourself, then you can check out the video down below.

Thankfully, we have a decent idea of when the Fall Guys season 2 release date is. The first season is set to end October 6, so we reckon that the next season should, more or less, kick off right after. Fall Guys came out just this month, so it's somewhat surprising to be talking about a new batch of content. That said, the multiplayer game has built up a lot of hype, so it seems wise to keep that going with new content.
