To all Commanders: Development Update on The Book of Yog

[p]Hey everyone,[/p][p]Starting this week, Hangzhou has slipped into late summer—sometimes a little cool breeze, and autumn is quietly sneaking in. About two months ago we shared our dev log with you, but since the upcoming content is huge, the game's development has recently slowed down. So here's a little progress update from us:[/p][p][/p][h2]1. Endgame PvE (Otherworld)[/h2][p]• New loot will be added gradually, including legendary gear, treasures, and upgrade stones.[/p][p]• Equipment will have more randomness. Special gear has unique attributes that cannot be modified. No paid content—everything depends on luck. Trading Hall support is planned.[/p][p]• PvE tests farming strategies, map and loot knowledge, and team planning for optimal Magic Find routes.[/p][p]•Not mindless grinding: maps have unique strategies, drops, rare bosses, and special modes.[/p][p]•Seasonal model will bring new maps, mechanics, and loot each season.[/p][p]•Release: aiming for late October, latest by late November.[/p][p][/p][h2]2. New Social & PvP [/h2][p]We're also working on a big tech upgrade to roll out a new open-world scene.[/p][p]Here, players in the same region will finally be connected live—you'll see each other moving around, interacting, and fighting for resources and cities, or just roaming the world for fun.[/p][p]It's basically going to be a massive seafaring world, where you can build your own fleet and sail out to conquer the seas. Development is moving fast, and we'll share more soon![/p][p][/p][h2]3. Combat Balance[/h2][p]We are working on combat balance. Given the complexity of online play and the need to protect players' interests, we are still in the research and calculation stage. Our goals are:[/p][p]• SP heroes should be relatively balanced, with no completely unusable characters.[/p][p]• Improve and unify game mechanics, reduce redundant designs, and create multiple viable playstyles with dynamic balance, rather than crude rock-paper-scissors or dominance by a single option.[/p][p]• Differences between hero tiers should be reasonable, aiming for a more balanced system that enhances the depth and seriousness of combat.[/p][p][/p][h2]4. Looking Forward[/h2][p]Running this game has taught us a lot, and your feedback has been huge.
