Patch 1.29 – Easter is Here!

Spring has arrived in The Wizards – Dark Times: Brotherhood, and with it comes a fresh wave of fixes, polish, and a sprinkle of seasonal charm! Whether you're revisiting the Citadel or diving into the Campaign, there’s something new waiting for you.

Here’s what’s new and improved:
  • The Citadel – Broken training room timer fixed
  • The Citadel – Fixed invisible teleport rings in co-op
  • The Citadel – Fixed invisible player aura VFX
  • The Citadel – Fixed missing hands after teleporting
  • The Citadel – Easter-themed decorations added

  • Campaign Boss Fight – Fixed rare bug with teleporting under the map

The Wizards - Dark Times: Brotherhood Patch 1.28 is LIVE NOW!

We have released an exciting free update today, bringing a host of thrilling additions and enhancements to the game. Players can now experience the all-new Citadel of Aetheris, a stunning multiplayer map where strategy, teamwork, and powerful magic combine to create intense, action-packed battles.

New Map: Citadel of Aetheris
The new Citadel of Aetheris map offers a dynamic and challenging environment for players to test their magical prowess. This large multiplayer arena requires both strategic planning and teamwork to secure victory as players battle for dominance over the citadel using a variety of powerful spells and abilities. The Aetheris Citadel promises to become a key battleground for players seeking to conquer this magical stronghold.



Other improvements
In addition to the updates above, several other improvements have been made to enhance the overall gameplay experience. Spells have been rebalanced with changes to damage, range, and mechanics, making combat more strategic and exciting. Enemies have also been adjusted for greater challenge, with new health values and behavior changes. Other quality-of-life updates include a refreshed user interface, new class descriptions, improved menus, and faster progression with boosted XP rewards. Players can also toggle HP bars for enemies and enjoy new objectives in existing maps.

New Map - “Citadel of Aetheris”
Re-balance of the multiplayer spells:
Flame-thrower with increased damage, length(from 300 to 400) and radius of the spell.
Fire-Lance switching hand position mechanic has been removed - for easier usage.
Ice Sabers with increased damage(from 150 (Bash)/100(Throw) to 200(Bash)/125(Throw)).
Icicle Projectiles with increased damage(from 50 to 85), faster loading (from 0.2s (per Icicle) to 0.12s), slightly slower flying speed (from 1500 to 1400).
Ice Nova with increased damage (from 10-50 to 30-90).
Chain Lightning with slightly decreased damage (from 50 to 45) and instead of jumping to 5 enemies now it'll jump to 4, smaller range (from 2000 to 1800).
Lightning Beam with increased damage (from 200 to 250).
Lightning Hammer with increased damage (from 150 to 250), increased throwing speed and now is easier to catch due to a bigger catch threshold.
Rain of Arrows deals less damage on each class (from 5(dmg)x16(arrows) to 4x14).
New Sky lights in multiplayer maps.
Re-balance of the enemies:
Fire Acolyte has more hp (from 550 to 800).
Fire type comes with greater strength dealing higher damage.
Ice types will have more endurance due to increased health points.
Lightning types will be more agile with their speed increased.
Now enemies also give more experience:
Abigail from 300XP to 1000XP.
Shroomlings from 6XP to 10XP.
Darklings from 10XP to 15XP.
Grunts from 20XP to 30XP.
Goblins from 10XP to 15XP.
Grunt Tanks from 40XP to 60XP.
Acolytes from 100XP to 150XP.
] Shamans from 75XP to 110XP.
Shroomkings from 50XP to 125XP.
Trolls from 125XP to 175XP.

Additional Quality of Life enhancements:
  • Added HP bars which you can switch on and off in the options.
  • New objective on the Castle map. A constant fight to capture a crystal.
  • Crystal ball with tips has been improved and we added 6 new tips, haptics, updated UI.
  • Added class descriptions near the class statues.
  • Added timer for Training Room bow mini-game.
  • UI for the spell choosing has been improved f.ex haptics added, new electric icons.
  • Updated Main Menu/Pause Menu - added haptics, refreshed color scheme, updated UI-tips, organized menu.
  • Challenge board UI has been improved and is more readable.
  • Added haptics in class-choosing altars.
  • Added Icons with player’s levels per profile in the multiplayer menu.
  • Added player’s current level in the pause menu.
  • Overall UI, text, and pop-up's have been improved to be more appealing and to be more organized.
  • Now players will get a pop-up which informs about other players waiting for you to join the battle.
  • Collision/combat fixes on different maps.
  • Added missing translations.
  • Multiplayer HUB Quality of Life changes. Correcting collisions, changing height of some interactable objects.
  • Crystals in Abigail fight should be easier to hit with spells.

As promised, we're excited to bring you the new June update! We’re introducing some fantastic new features, including the addition of adaptive trigger mechanics for magic bows in Primeweald Trials (our new name for the Coop mode) on PS VR2 and the much-anticipated global CROSS-PLAY feature, allowing PC VR, PS VR2, and Meta Quest wizards to join forces! Take a look at the changes below:

Patch Notes:
  • Added adaptive trigger mechanics to magic bows in Primeweald Trials (Coop mode) to the PS VR2
  • Added a global cross-play feature between PC VR, PS VR2 and Meta Quest players
  • Added improved global mechanics to control spatial sounds in the land of Primeweald
  • Improving the volume balance of spells, especially the explosion of the magic shield in Primeweald Trials
  • All spells in Primeweald Trials (Coop mode) received a sound upgrade
  • Increased spell resistance of magic shields for all wizard classes in Primeweald Trials (Coop mode)
  • Reduced teleportation rod regeneration time from 3 seconds to 1.5 seconds. This makes gameplay smoother and more fun to tactically move around arenas in Primeweald Trials (Coop mode)
  • Fixed the error related to displaying the incorrect name from HUB to Citadel in Primeweald Trials (Coop mode)
  • Fixed the error related to displaying the incorrect name from achievements to challenge in Primeweald Trials (Coop mode). Now players will not be confused reaching new challenges
  • Rebuilded the entire Citadel after the goblin army attack
  • Reworked the main menu and profile selector
  • Adjusted and fixed the pendulums in the Enchanted Forest in Primeweald Trials (Coop mode)
  • Redesigned the In-Game Menu and Summary Menu to display better for players, improving user comfort
  • The Citadel received optimized dynamic candles for PC VR and PS VR2. Now players can extinguish them with a push and light them with a fireball
  • Fixed the replication of the Darkling Bomb, which sometimes didn't explode
  • Added an icon and color code to indicate unlocked new spells
  • Optimized graphics and improved performance in Campaign and in Primeweald Trials (Coop mode)
  • Optimized most of the opponents, now spawns should be smoother than ever
  • Fixed the problem with the Korean and Japanese translations in the boss fight level in the campaign
  • Created an additional tutorial explaining the resistance of elemental enemies in the Prologue in the campaign
  • Added a widget with information about the level of the player with whom you are fighting together against Abigail's minions

Roadmap Update (May 31, 2024)

We hope you’re all doing well and enjoying your magical adventures in The Wizards - Dark Times: Brotherhood. Today, we wanted to inform you about an adjustment to our roadmap schedule, as you are probably awaiting the latest May update.

Our team has moved the last May update from our roadmap to early June. This will ensure that we will deliver the highest possible quality experience to all of our players on all available platforms. Taking a few extra days will allow us to add more polish and improvements to the game, making your spellcasting adventures even more enjoyable.
