The Slormancer is an epic 2D Action-RPG Dungeon Crawling game following a band of outcasts on their fight against hordes of enemies lead by The Slormancer!
Play as a "Mighty" Knight, a "Fierce" Huntress or a "Mischievous" Mage, master hundreds of abilities and ancestral powers, gear up, fight for the reputation of your kind and prove your value to the realm.

Featuring loads of shiny Loot, tons of collectibles, countless hours of content, a frenetic gameplay and carefully crafted pixel art.



We are a two-man independent game development studio based in France. It was created in November 2017 with one goal in mind: to center the player's experience around FUN. Plain and simple. Not frustration, not tedious quests, not paywalls, not overwhelmingly complex mechanics or unfair challenges. Just fun. And we've been working on The Slormancer ever since.

The Slormancer is our first game and our most important project to this date which means we are determined to impress, and we will give everything we can!

  Unlock and master more than 200 unique Abilities, Upgrades and Passives for every class. Each active Ability has its own skill tree, allowing you to create unique combinations.
  
• Harness the power of your Ancestral Legacy
  Choose your Legacy and inherit ancient powers among more than 150 Element-related Skills and Passives in the Ancestral Skill Tree.
  Master Fire and summon powerful elementals, use Ice to freeze your foes, convoke Thunder and create massive storms, embrace the power of Light or make one with Shadow, it's up to you!
  
• Unique Weapons
  120 unique and game-changing weapons available for every class. Each Slorm Reaper is a unique and priceless weapon that you can loot during your adventure. Once found, wield it to benefit from its powerful effect, level it up, and eventually evolve it to a greater form.
  
• Endless quest for Epic Loot!
  Find and collect normal, magic, rare and epic items with completely random properties but also shiny legendary items with more than 80 unique affixes.
  Then enhance them with an infinite upgrade system!
  
• Collect and Progress
  Unlock Skills, Upgrades and Ancestral Abilities, find epic items, and collect Slorm Reapers to create deadly combinations that suits your own play style!
  The Slormancer is all about Collection and Progression so you can switch at any point between any skills you’ve previously unlocked, Slorm Reapers and items you’ve previously found, even between the 3 classes of the game! This unique Flexibility allows you to swap between different combinations and play styles in the blink of an eye, whenever you feel like it.
  
• Procedural Adventures!
  Defeat lots of unique monsters, elites and bosses with more than 40 different affixes through procedurally generated adventures and hunt down The Slormancer’s Warlords through 7 different upgradable environments. There are always things to do and monsters to kill! And it's always different!

Hi everyone!

We've been working on various aspects of character customization lately. We've changed the way Slorm Reapers work (Slorm Reapers are weapons that you can find in the game) and we have added a new layer of customization called Character Attributes.


Slorm Reapers were initially designed to enable new build opportunities and to make the player think on how to make the most out of its weapon by finding the proper synergies.
Each Slorm Reaper has one or more positive effects and one negative effect (such as reducing your Max Life or preventing you from doing Critical Strikes etc...) so you had to figure out how to play around all these.

Unfortunately, we ended up with underwhelming weapons, that felt weaker than regular Items and with a repealing negative effect, so looting one was a bit disappointing.

Our design goal for the rework was to make Slorm Reapers a pretty rare item that you should be thrilled to loot, with awesome and ready-to-use effects but with super-strong hidden synergies to explore. A Slorm Reaper should always make you want to try it instantly.

So we have divided the effects of Slorm Reapers: you now have a regular form that you can loot during your expeditions. Regular forms have been reworked to be much richer than before, they do not come with a Negative Effect and should work with pretty much every build.
Each Reaper has an hidden form called the Primordial form that you can unlock by playing the regular version. The Primordial form is much stronger but also comes with a strong Negative effect so playing with a Primordial Reaper has to be thought through and planned.

Both Reapers will be available at any point so you can switch to the Primordial form when you feel ready and come back to the regular form if you don't like how it works.

Each Slorm Reaper also has a different design when it's in its Primordial form.
And as stated in our Steam Page, there are 120 different Slorm Reapers to find and try out.

Hopefully, Slorm Reapers will be exciting to play for everyone!



We added a new layer of Customization to the game called Character Attributes. We did this because we felt that leveling up was not exciting enough, lacked proper feedback and rewards.
We also felt that it was a bit tricky to fill gaps and really tailor stats to your needs.

Since we feel like we have a lot of complex features, we decided to add something super simple, that will hopefully be easy to understand and use.

Behold! The Character Attributes Menu:







So basically, you gain a point every level that you can add to one among 8 different attributes:
Toughness, Savagery, Fury, Determination, Zal, Willpower, Dexterity & Bravery.

Each Attribute focuses on a base stat plus secondary stats and effects that work well together.
Each point you add increases the base stat. Additionaly, you increase another stronger stat every 5 point (usually in %) and unlock various Effects every 15 points.

Pretty straight forward!

We've been working on The Slormancer for almost 4 years now and the 2 basic enemies (Skeleton Soldier and Skeleton Archer) have been here the whole time.
So we were super excited to create new enemies for the game!

We added a dozen of new enemies to The Slormancer, it's time for you to meet some of them!


Zombie Peasants Weak alone but deadly in numbers. It applies the "Scratch" debuff to its target, doubling Zombie Peasant Damage for the next 30 seconds.



The Plague Doctor The Plague Doctor spreads Poisonous Areas all over the Map while also moving out if you get too close. Dangerous if you let him live too long



The COLOSSUS The Dreadful Colossus deals Damage in Circles of various sizes when he slams the ground, better be careful. Also, never hide under its fists.



Corrupted Puddings and Burning Puddings Corrupted Puddings create a Dangerous Area of Effect below you.

Burning Puddings cast Elemental Projectiles that follow you for a short period of time.

Turn out these cute little guys are quite a threat.



The Hex Shroud The Hex Shroud applies a Curse decreasing Armor, Attack Speed or Movement Speed while dealing Damage over time to you if you are within its ever-expanding range.



The Fallen Knight - Elite
The game also features Elite enemies. They are obviously quite stronger but also faster and smarter.
Each Elite Enemy also has an additional behavior and/or an enhanced effect:
Examples from enemies above:
- Elite Zombie Peasant summons another Zombie Peasants whenever he hits you.
- Elite Hex Shroud applies the 3 Curses at once.
- Elite Corrupted Pudding's Area of Effects are recasted after a bit.

You'll have to meet each and every Elite version to figure out their mechanic.
