Hello Heroes!

We have an exciting announcement!

[h2]On Monday January 13th, you will be able to playtest the brand new Apocalypse 2.0![/h2]

It will be an open beta, so anyone that owns the game will be able to take part in it, and it will be available until January 27th.

Our apocalypse system is undergoing a major overhaul to offer a more modular and customizable experience.

We asked you last summer to tell us which improvements were most important to you. What stood out was the need for personalization, with the possibility of modifiers that would have a greater impact on gameplay and change your habits and strategy. You will be able to fine-tune the difficulty to match your playstyle (and maybe discover new playstyles).

This will be an in-progress version, as this update will be released on the main branch this spring, at the same time as DLC 2.

The playtest will take place from January 13th to January 27th on a separate branch that you will access thanks to a password that we will give you next week. We will also send you a form to fill!

Please note that what you're going to play is still WIP, soo the UI and the feedbacks are not final at all, and the beta will NOT be playable with a controller or a steam deck.

[h2]Bye Bye Christmas Clawers :'([/h2]

Those clawers did a great job at trying to kill you bringing you gifts during the holidays, but now it's time for them to put their favourite costumes wherever they belong.

We hope you had fun with them, and we definitely intend to do more seasonal skins for your favourite enemies in the future!

[h2]HELLO AGAIN OLD PROLOGUE[/h2]

As a small holidays present, we wanted to give you a little something that you might enjoy, especially if you played The Last Spell before its release into early-access!

That's right, if you played The Last Spell back in 2020-early 2021, you might have heard about its Prologue.

It was a VERY early version of the game, way before we entered early-access. It only had one map back then! And the musics are a biiit different from how they sound today! :)

How to access the Prologue?
The Prologue is on a separate branch.

Please note that this is a small bonus as a gift for our fans, and it's probably a bit broken, and we won't do any update or support for it.

About the saves
The save for the prologue is in a different folder than the main game, so there's no need to secure your saves on the main game!

We hope you're okay and that our christmas clawers are delivering you great presents! Or, maybe you've already killed many of them, who knows.

Today, we want to ask YOUR feedback! We know balancing of the game has been a source of great debates in the steam forums and our Discord server.

Balancing the game is very tricky in The Last Spell, especially because players of different skill levels and playtimes have very different opinions on what is strong or not. However, that's a huge subject that we will continue to work on in 2025.

The next step for us is to ask YOU what you think about the current balancing of the game, more specifically the balancing of the base game perks, weapons and buildings for an upcoming balancing patch.

Hello Warriors!

We hope you're okay for the holidays season! At Ishtar Games, the celebrations have definitely started already with our traditional Christmas tree!

However, not everything we made for the holidays is so cute.


This thing is called "Georgio", and yes, it's terrifying when it's the first "person" you see in the morning in the office.

But since the holidays spirit is something we want to share with you all, we thought we might give you a liiiiittle something for this season!

[h2]CHRISTMAS CLAWERS ARE BAAAAAAACK[/h2]

We wanted to celebrate the holidays season with you, and what better way than having some VERY special clawers to bring gifts to you? (the gift being death and destruction)

And for this year, we have even more seasonal clawers than before. Are you prepared to spot them all?





(Yes, we believe he's cute, please don't hurt his feelings)

We've heard that if you were good heroes this year, we miiight have a "throwback" present for you all right after the holidays. This should make some of the early fans of The Last Spell very happy ;)

So, have fun with our very special clawers (we know you're going to obliterate them with violence though), and enjoy the holidays!

• Fixed an issue where loading a save would change the visual aspect of enemies.

Hello survivors!

We hope you're okay! We know we've kept you in the dark for a while this year, and we're very sorry about that. Our goal is to be transparent about the future of the development of the future DLCs of the game and beyond.

As it's soon Christmas, we wanted to do a little something before the celebrations officially start. Please note that this is NOT the "little surprise" we teased you with earlier this week.

Since we know you're waiting for DLC 2 of The Last Spell, we wanted to give you a little something.

We're working hard on it, and it's still coming next spring, along with the "Apocalypse 2.0".
