Hey everyone! We have a new update to the game and we're excited to share it with you before the weekend arrives!

This patch includes various improvements and fixes to the game, but most notably we focused on the gameplay side of the fence. The community has voiced their feedback and we've been actively listening! We want the gameplay to shine before moving on to the Career mode... which we know everyone is excited to see!

Let's begin by discussing a few highlights before jumping into the finer details included in this update.

First off, we've added a major item fans have been asking for is the ability to go for two point conversions. Well in this patch, now you can! After scoring a touchdown you can navigate through your playbook and choose a regular play to go for two points instead of the dreaded PAT! We think this will add more depth to the game, especially when you're in a tight match and need that extra point!



Next, we've built a more intelligent defensive AI to properly line up with their assigned receivers, instead of just standing in their original formation positions. So any player on defense who's playing "man coverage" will now locate a receiver on the offensive team and line up pre-snap based on depth chart assignments. What this means is the best receivers will be guarded by the best defenders so you can rest assure that your best defenders are protecting the field against those GOAT receivers!



Another feature people have been asking for when playing defense is being able to see the offense's player package before choosing their play. Once the offense chooses their play, you will see how many wide receivers, tight ends, and running backs are in the play. This will help you choose a more strategic defensive play prior to taking the field where before you were blind to the offense and had to get lucky at times.



Lastly, the gameplay HUD now includes an all NEW "Player Card" that shows your currently selected defender when playing defense or your quarterback if you're on offense. This feature was limited to strictly the pre-snap phase to not clutter the field with player information since you wouldn't really be able to focus on it during a play any how.

Gameplay Improvements
  • Fixed team rankings issue which was displaying values for the wrong teams on Career and Tournament team select screens.
  • Two point conversions have been added to the post touchdown options.
  • Man defenders now align with assigned receivers during the lineup sequence.
  • New player card displays selected player during pre-snap so you can look over their skills.
  • Added offensive formation packages to defensive play call screens so defense can choose a more strategic play.
  • New Singleback Wing formation added to offensive playbook.
  • Fixed player stat popup showing the wrong face at times.
  • Kicking max ball height has been decreased as ball was flying a little too high in the air.
  • Added a timer when unpausing game to avoid hiking ball by accident.
  • Fixed rare bug when player drops the football on the field.
  • Quarterback hiking times have been adjusted to run clock out at times.
  • Added code to clean up rosters with colors that don't exist in the current color files. This will avoid some issues in the game when using corrupt roster files.
  • Miscellaneous bugs & fixes.

Hey everyone! Our last patch made selecting a player on defense wonky, so we fixed it and thought we would release a quick patch with some other stuff to make your weekend playing time more enjoyable!

Gameplay Improvements
  • Fixed issue where kick return yards were incorrectly being recorded at times.
  • Fixed player selection during a play to pick logical players based on where the ball or ball carrier was located.
  • When lining up to scrimmage, the user controlled defender is now displaying so you can tell if you have control of the correct player.
  • New defensive back coverage logic added to reduce all of those huge plays for touchdowns.
  • Adjusted order of operations so calling timeouts or a play when clock reads 00:00 should not occur any longer.
  • Field goal distances weren't taking into account yards between LOS and holder.
  • Play over when kicking team touches the ball without having to wait for it to stop bouncing/rolling.

Hey everyone! This patch includes MANY gameplay improvements on the field, a new kicking meter difficulty setting for those who need to adjustments to match their skill levels, a streamlined color database to improve the roster editing process, and much much more!

Only downside is we'll need to reset your data so you WILL lose any custom saves or progress you've made in Career and Tournament modes. We are trying to get this firmed up as early as possible so we don't need to worry about such drastic updates down the road when the game is further along and you REALLY won't want to lose your progress.

We truly apologize for any inconvenience, but at least updates are happening rapidly and the game is advancing so guess that's not the worst thing! Okay, now onto the details of this patch!

Gameplay Improvements
  • Default roster ratings and colors have been updated. More variety with Kickers and Punters.
  • Quarterback speed has been redistributed to have more disparity between athletic speedy vs slow players.
  • Quarterbacks scrambling has been improved to scramble more often with faster players.
  • Quarterbacks were too powerful when running so we took care of that problem!
  • Interception logic improved for more realistic results.
  • Receiver and Defensive Back interactions are getting better and have improved to give defenders a better shot at defending passes.
  • Added NEW swat animation with the "defend pass" button for defenders to try to break up a pass.
  • Floaty passes to receivers in a crowd are not as successful as in previous builds.
  • Fixed CPU ball carrier spin move repeating during a run.
  • CPU stiff arm direction should point to closest defender side vs away from them.
  • We separated the kicking difficulty into its own setting now for people who want to fine tune their kicking difficulty without sacrificing gameplay difficulty.
  • We've separated our color databases for less colors per group (jerseys, skin, hair, visor, etc). Now it's much faster to edit players and teams because you will have much less colors to scroll through. We also will leave all of our default colors in so your team jerseys stay intact and won't get changed. Click here for more information regarding the color updates.
  • Fixed some player sprite colors that should have been shadows, but were showing jersey colors.
  • Fixed issue when resetting to default rosters, player colors wouldn't reflect change until restarting game.
  • Fixed Division names not being reflected properly when edited from the "savedata.ini" file.
  • Main menu label "ROSTERS" changed to "TEAM EDITOR".
  • Coach sprite wasn't updating to currently selected team when first going into NEW Tournament screen.
  • Career mode USER games now have the option to be watched.
  • Fixed issue where game would get stuck if you happen to hike the ball at the same time a penalty occurs.

[h2]Hotfix Patch for v0.1.2.5[/h2]

Hey everyone! We will be pushing a small patch to fix the issues some people have been experiencing from last night's patch. Only downside is it will delete any rosters, careers, or tournament files you may have had prior to the patch.

We apologize for this inconvenience, but please keep in mind this is Early Access and things like this may occur in the future. We will do our best moving forward to try and avoid this at all costs, but sometimes our hands our tied because the game is still in development.

Bonus though! Now you can now watch your own games during Tournament and Career modes since I worked on it today and it's going with this small update! Plus when you start a Career mode it's a but smoother where you don't need to edit the coach before continuing.
