Patch Notes for v0.1.2.9
Patch v0.1.2.9
Hey everyone! This week we focused yet again on improving the gameplay and fixing issues from our previous patch.

IMPORTANT: As part of this patch, we recommend resetting rosters to default in order to get the latest roster update.

Passing has been combed over with tuning and tweaks to get better results and less dropped passes across the board. Two point conversions should be working better now, along with ball placement issues during kick and punt plays.

There's much more we can talk about, but to save you some time here are the cliff notes! Hope you enjoy.

Gameplay Improvements
 • Fixed issue where defenders were incorrectly lined up prior to snap when play man coverage.
 • Increased catch success rate when receivers are wide open.
 • Fixed stat message crash bug caused by incorrect player being grabbed by the code.
 • Fixed issue where receiver name was missing on stat message.
 • Fixed 2 point conversion issues where play would idle and get stuck on the field forcing you to quit game.
 • Fixed issue where kickoffs and punts are not being marked at the correct yard line or being called safety when should be a touchback.
 • Fixed memory leak issue when editing players in Player Editor that would sometimes cause a crash after editing players for n extended period of time.
 • Rebuilt default rosters with slightly slower quarterbacks and better number choices per position.
 • Improved passing based on player skills.
 • Throws while moving are less accurate the lower agility your quarterback has now.
 • Fixed issue with defenders running away from line of scrimmage on certain plays.
 • Miscellaneous bugs & fixes.

Please if you experience any bugs or issues please report them here or more preferably in our Discord where you can chat with the community, report bugs, or give feedback on the game.

Legend Bowl Early Access Review: Throwing Back to the Classics

By Michael Straw

Ask anyone with experience, and they’ll tell you that making a football video game is one of the hardest types of games to create. There are so many intricacies involved to get it to not only look right but play right that many people would rather build something else. For Javier Martinez, aka King Javo, it’s a passion of his to build a fun, accessible football game that hearkens back to the days of Tecmo Super Bowl. Enter Legend Bowl, an early access pixel art football game that aims to bring that fun of yesteryear back for gamers and football fans, alike.
Gameplay is Legen…dary
Despite what it looks like, Legend Bowl plays like a finely polished modern game. Controls are responsive, movement is clean and crisp, and there’s quite a bit of depth to the actions you can perform.

Running the ball is pretty simple. When using a controller, there’s a sprint/power button that speeds up your runner when tapping rapidly. Holding the button down – A on an Xbox controller — will see your player use power...

By Robert Kollars
Legend Bowl Early Access Review – What I Like
As I pressed the A button on that little rectangular control pad and watched my QB hand the ball off to the instant cheat code known as Bo Jackson, I knew 8-bit magic was about to take place. There were only four offensive plays for the original Tecmo Bowl, but I only needed one. While that may be nostalgia creeping in along with my longing for sports games that are simply fun to play, there is a small part of me that misses that mindset quite a bit, which leads right in to this Legend Bowl early access Review.

Sure, the hyper-realistic sports sims of today offer something a kid of the ’80s and ’90s could have never imagined, but they often miss the mark when it comes to just being fun to play. Thankfully, there are few titles available today that help scratch that proverbial itch, with one of them being Legend Bowl. A retro-type throwback football title that offers...
