Update 1.45a

Hello everyone!

The game was updated with version 1.45a

[h2]Coven of demons and new world bosses for Northern Kigdoms[/h2]



I've added new quest for Northern Kingdoms zone, which is meant to tie up a couple of storylines from other quests in the zone, and deals with demons of the north. The quest also gives you new living weapon, which I'm not gonna spoil here, and two new epic sets.

  • Blade dancer epic set which allows you to use bard abilites in melee, without playing serenades
  • Dark mage epic set which allows you to focus on dark spells without summons




You can also buy these sets at the store in the explorers camp, same as others.
I've also added 6 new world bosses for Northern Kigdoms, which are respawnable and can be used for farming endgame resources.

Other changes:

  • Fixed the bug with grass options being back to default between zone changes
  • Added option for simplifies water shader, which should help with bright color water bug on some AMD cards
  • Fixed rune of the pack
  • Added new mechanic for Enduring epic set which will allow it to deal more damage
  • Crit chance now correctly improves on ascended armor
  • Added more lights in the dungeons in expeditions and made them shorter and more streamlined


Mod fixes:
  • Fixed the bug with placement of items on the map
  • Fixed the bug with icons on the items not loading properly
  • Fixed the bug that caused some modded NPCs to fall through textures
  • Fixed the bug which caused modded buildings not to load material sometimes

Update 1.41a

Hello everyone! The game was just updated with version 1.41a





This is a fairly small update, which adds a new quest for level 40, set in Ertoron.
The main purpose of this update was to fix and rework current King's castle in the city. The castle interior was unfinished for quite awhile. I've started working on it back in 2019, when the game was a lot different, and I had an idea for a particular quest involving king of Ertoron. During development the game was changed so much, that I had to abandon initial plans for it and move on with different idea. Now it's finally finished, and has bigger interior and an actual king sitting in there. You can follow the quest or you cank kill a king and become an outlaw.

Other changes:

  • I've rebalanced gameplay for heavy melee endgame sets a little. Now all heavy endgame sets have a little bit more armor, you can actually knockdown heavier enemies and Powerful strike/Whirlwind/Charge dont hinder stamina regeneration after level 50 of your character, which should improve your damage output a lot.

  • Fixed the bug with woman's version of enduring set not looking like a male version
  • Fixed the issue with being stuck on story box quest in Volflar Fields
  • Magic shield now absorbs more damage if your player level is higher (more info in ability tooltip)
  • I've added some loot back to the Darklands bosses. Without it, it felt really unrewarding to kill bosses in Darklands. Now you will be able to get some epic set items from bosses.
  • Hemmorhage in blood demon form now have 1 second cooldown instead of 0
  • Fixed stuck problems in Frozen Temple
  • Fixed new armor sets showing on some companions


Mods:

  • You can now create Animal NPCs and companions
  • Fixed the bug with stackable toggle in effects tab
  • Added advanced manager for merchant assortiment which will allow you to remove or move around certain items
  • Added arcane magic stat in item creation tab

Gedonia 2 announcement and a roadmap for the future

Hello everyone! I am very happy to share some exciting news with you!

Gedonia 2 is now in development


I am now working on a sequel for a game. I am aiming it to be much better than the first game, and it is without the doubt the most ambitious game I've ever attempted to make. It's still very early, and the game is years away from release, but I managed to make a small teaser trailer for the game and a steam page for you to check out. [h2]An answers to some questions about the sequel:[/h2]

  • Why didn't you just continue expanding on original Gedonia?

    While the first game still has a lot of potential to explore, there are some issues that prevent me from infinetely evolving it over the years. First one, of course is not being able to add multiplayer, but also some fundamental shortcoming in animation/scripting/stat scaling etc. A lot of these things are baked into the core of the game at the moment, and I could only fix them by remaking the game from scratch.

  • What will the second game be about?
    With Gedonia 2, I aim to explore Eastern regions of the map, like Esnon, Vubros and Osnein. The game will have completely separate storyline and explore different era of the world.

  • Are you still working on the game alone?
    No, I am happy to report that I've got some funds from the sales of the original game, and I hired a small tem of artists and writers to help me out! So there will be atleast 6-10 people working on the game in the future.

Don't worry, I'm not abandoning the current game, in fact, I came up with a roadmap for future releases. Check it out:


As you can see, we will explore different regions of the world with the first and second game, with the first we will go west and south, and with the second one we will go east.

Hello everyone! The game was just updated with patch 1.39b

  • Fixed visual bug with enduring set
  • Fixed bug with interface scaling resetting sometimes
  • Fixed bug with secondary weapons not evolving sometimes


Update 1.39a

Hey everyone! I am happy to announce that I came back from my summer vacation, and I am ready and excited to return to work at full force!

Expect some cool announcements and updates in the next upcoming months.

Let's start by small update 1.39a:

  • You can now grow high level resources on your farms at your homes
  • All staffs now have baseline mana regeneration bonuses
  • Enemies are less likely to body block your projectiles after death
  • Player's arrow on world map now correctly shows a dungeon position, while you are in a dungeon
  • Fixed bugs with summon and enchant weapon, caused by empty main weapon slot
  • Mod placement now correctly loads objects in the world
  • You can now get fish rain achievement with fish jewelry set
  • World events icons in Northern kingdoms now correctly removed, when events are completed
  • Fixed the bug with stealth archer and added effects
  • Loot window now scales with huge containers, and contains up to 10 items
  • Poor Durval is finally released from being under a horse in a main menu
  • Sorting and stacking button added to the player chest
  • Fixed the bug with incorrect showing of ranged and melee bonuses in talents tab
  • Fixed bugs with shielded enemies death animations
  • Added a dialogue option for a guard near Northern Kingdoms path
  • Arcane barrage doesnt target allies anymore
