The Heroic Legend of Eagarlnia

The Heroic Legend of Eagarlnia is a single-player grand strategy game that takes place on the fictional continent of Eagarlnia where tribes and leagues share an intricate history that both binds and pits them in a state of war. On this land, you choose to lead a single tribe or league and slowly begin to dig into the various characters' and heroes' backstories as you try to lead your cities into a superpower. From the selection of your appointed cabinet members to the growth and training of your army, every decision of the challenging mission of ruling one nation falls into your hands. Not only will you need to wisely calibrate your resources to maximize results at every turn, but also will need build your defenses against any attacks towards your cities. Throughout the turns, your goal is to rule all of Eagarlnia...

As opposed to other grand strategy games that follow a real historical context, Eagarlnia is an original narrative that will slowly reveal stories and relationships between various heroes. Rather than mechanical tactical turns, there will be shortcuts and maneuvers you can undertake to generate better results the more you understand each hero's stories and characteristics. You will also slowly uncover family secrets and ascend to a mightier throne that rules all the land.

Hongshou's Story

We're an indie developer based in Chengdu, China; as a small development team we were inspired to create an original grand strategy game not only because we don't see so many titles in this genre but also we wanted to replicate some of the nostalgic elements in grand strategy gameplay.

We have always felt that "war" is a theme that spurs endless imagination in one's mind - just because we don't live it, doesn't mean we can't appreciate it from both a historical and even artistic perspective. Taking out the suffering of war, we could better explore the depths of a war-based game - putting yourself in the shoes of a war general, leading an army of hundreds or even thousands; or as a ruler of a kingdom...We wanted to create a virtual world where we can experience these feelings and explore the depths of war and strategy...ultimately seeing the consequences of our decisions.
