What starts as childish mischief quickly becomes a terrifying lesson when the Syndicate’s agents are near.[/p][p]Mick finally brought me along with him today. He said he found something on the other side of the forest that could make us rich. I’ve never thought about being rich before.
“Hey, slow down, Mick.”
He turns and smiles. “Your legs are too short.” He’s three years older than me, and he never lets me forget it.
I put my hands on my hips. “Well, I can’t just snap my fingers and make them longer can I?”
Mick laughs. I love it when he laughs. “You’ve got some fire. That’s why I’m bringing you out here.”
“You saying, you want me to burn this place down?” I say with maybe a little too much enthusiasm.[/p][p]![]()
