Solo Combo 2

Hello Brave Gatewalkers!

Welcome to the second part of the solo combo article. If you haven't read the previous article - we encourage you to read it!

Briefly, the ability to unlock solo combo starts at Tier 3, when you can unlock a recipe for an epic or legendary version of the weapon. Then you are granted the possibility to forge a new, improved weapon. To use a solo combo, you have to make sure the ability is ready. The solo combo icon on the main bar will show you when the solo combo is ready to cast. One thing that is good to know - you don’t have to memorize the combination. After clicking the solo combo button, the combination will be shown on the screen all the time:

Then you have to fight using the correct sequence of skills, and the solo combo will appear automatically:

Epic/Legendary weapons are game-changers for Gatewalkers. Solo combos have completely different, much more powerful abilities than the usual player abilities. They deal a lot of damage to enemies within a wide range, and many more! Some solo combos focus on damage, some on restoring shield, every weapon deals different bonuses, etc. It is worth knowing the capabilities of each weapon in advance and choosing the one that suits your tactics. Both epic and legendary versions of a given weapon share the same solo combo, but the legendary version is stronger.

Below are examples of solo combos with descriptions.

Warhammer (Stunning Aura - Four bursts of energy striking 2 sec. Apart. Each burst deals 777 damage to all enemies in a 7m radius and stuns all enemies for 0,5 sec.)

Dual Dagger (Ultimate Toxin - Throw with a dagger that poisons enemies dealing 1026 damage per second for 4 sec.)

Qubic (Orbital Strike - Every 2 sec. For 4 sec. shoots a laser within a 10 m. radius from the player. Each meteor creates AOE that deals 800 damage in a 2 m. radius)

Light Energy Catalyst (Pillar of Light - All allies in a 7m. radius get 25% shield restoration per second, the effect lasts 5 sec.)

Great Sword (Etheral Guardians - Every ally within 10 m. range summons 2 energy orbs that will continue to orbit around them for 6 sec. Orbs grant 50% to movement speed. Contact with the enemy dissipates the orb’s energy dealing 1166 damage to the target and restoring the owner’s shield by 442)

Great Hammer (Sky Rage - Meteor rain every second for 4 sec. 3 meteors fall within the radius of 10 m. from the player. Each meteor creates AOE which deals 700 damage in a 2 m. radius)

Dark Catalyst (Pillar of Darkness - All allies on 7m m. radius get +20% damage dealt bonus for 5 sec)

Battle Axe (Predecessor Axe - Summons the predecessor axe which spins in a 2 m. range around the player. It deals 1366 damage per second and lasts for 10 seconds)

Note: The figures provided are examples only. The range and/or damage value can increase with the higher tier of the weapon.

What do you think about the weapons and their solo combos? We tried to make them unique, but also effective! Which weapon would you like to try the most?

Solo Combo

Hello Brave Gatewalkers!

This article will show you something that excites every Gatewalker - solo combos!

They are not only exciting and effective but also deal a lot of damage and can help you to win every fight faster! That’s why a lot of Gatewalkers make this a priority in their fighting tactic.

So how can you actually do a solo combo? From Tier 3 you have the possibility to buy epic or legendary versions of every weapon (you can buy them in any sequence you want).

Epic weapons and Legendary weapons deal more damage than basic weapons. Legendary weapons are stronger than Epic weapons.

If you have an Epic or Legendary weapon you gain the possibility to cast a solo combo. Every weapon has a different solo combo. You can induce a solo combo by doing a mouse/keyboard (or pad) combination as shown below.

Solo combos are powerful - they have a big range and deal a lot of damage. Every weapon has a different combo, so it’s good to know them beforehand. Let us show you what they look like!

Force Staff (Rotating Beam combo - shoots a beam that rotates around the player. Deals 537 damage per second, 6m long, and lasts for 6 seconds)

Spell Sword (Sonic Wave combo - shoots a sonic wave around the player. Deals 2189 damage in a 7m radius. Affected targets are stunned for 1 sec.)

Rifle (Volley combo - shoots bullets around in a radius of 5 m. Deals 5433 damage and stuns targets for 2 sec.)

Grenade Launcher (Shrapnel Shot combo - deals 3188 damage to all enemies in 7m in front of the player)

Broadsword (Parry Strike combo - creates a barrier ready to absorb up to 1995 damage and explodes after 4 sec. The explosion deals 1104 damage in 4m radius. The damage of explosion scales with the damage absorbed by the barrier; an explosion from a depleted barrier will have 100% increased damage)

Bow (Ghost Arrow combo - fires a series of spiritual arrows in all directions every 1s for 5 s. Shoots 554 damage to everyone in 5m radius)

Attention: Damage points given above are just an example - they are increasing with the higher tier of weapons.

What do you think about solo combos? Would you like to see more weapons and their combos? If yes, we can make part 2 of this article!

Combat in Different Worlds

Hello Brave Gatewalkers!

Playing the ARPG game is not only about winning the fight or achieving the highest rank - it's more about the process and fun you have during different adventures. The satisfaction coming from the realization of your goal with your own skills is priceless.

That's why, in Gatewalkers, you can explore different dimensions. This way, players won't get bored with repeatability and must adapt to new surroundings. Every world brings new challenges - combat and survival in each require a different tactic. Let's sum up the most critical challenges of fighting in various worlds:

Forest World

“The night came, and it was so dense that I couldn't even see my hand. I wanted to make a fire quickly, but before I could get a branch… It showed up. A Nightmare. A huge black mass. Legs, lots of legs, but also claws... The fear took me completely. I began chaotically swinging the hammer, but it felt like I was hitting the air.”

Forest World is the first you will explore in the game. Also, it will be probably the world you will visit more frequently. Why? Because it's full of resources. Wood, stones, animals, mushrooms and berries, different herbs, and clean water are essentials you need to survive. It seems to be a pretty pleasant place to be. However, it's full of various creatures - and I am not talking only about the monkeybats! Hyenas, giant deers, Surian camps… Another challenge is a deep night. If the player gets lost in madness, her/his subconscious will spawn nightmare creatures!

Ice World

“Dangers lurk around here somewhere. I have met one huge animal already. It resembled a polar bear but was much more aggressive and had terrifying fangs. Luckily I took the best weapon with me.”

Ice world has many deeps and plateaus, and it's impossible to get through any of them since they're unimaginably vast. To survive, players should craft warm clothes, eat adequate food, and use heat sources, like campfires, to warm themselves. Blizzards are one of the hazardous features of the Ice world. Another one? Giant wild animals. They have one plus, though - you can use some of their meat or fur after killing them.
But don't think they are the only inhabitants of the Ice World! Some Surian tribes seem to be visiting the place. They abandoned the traditional Surian look and have been seen wearing warm furry coats. Moreover, they have developed unique powers, and some Gatewalkers saw them extracting energy from ice and coldness... What are they planning to do?!

Toxic World

“ Before I could think, they pounced on me. They beat me up badly, but I managed to kill them. However, struggling for life also used up all the air. I began to choke. I stumbled, unable to catch my breath...”

When it comes to the toxic world, it is very challenging. The air is contaminated, making breathing almost impossible without proper equipment. There is no food or water. The terrain is mountainous; The top is a safe spot, but the lower you travel, the more dangerous it becomes. Dangerous creatures are hiding deep in the Toxic world undergrounds... They hide in caves where the air is less toxic, poison anyone who dares to enter their home, and then feed on opponents' bodies.

Sky Rocks

“A huge creature resembling a bird appeared in front of us. Wings, sharp claws, furious eyes. And after we finished fighting it, I felt something strange. My hair started to rise and my body shuddered. I felt as if I was drawing some unknown force towards me.”

Sky Rocks is the place that young Gatewalkers visit only after receiving proper training. Why? Because at first, it seems like a weird (for some even charming) but not so difficult place and they lower their guard. Who would be scared of large mushrooms and broken windmills anyway? However, the planet is quite tricky. Dense fog makes it difficult to navigate. The space is filled with energy, and the streaks of lightning are induced to get rid of it. During exploration, dynamic actions (such as combat) cause electrical charges to accumulate in living organisms. A deadly electrostatic discharge may occur if that electrical charge surpasses a critical level! It is also a home for Volarians, a winged humanoid race capable of thriving in the skies. They don't like to be disturbed…

Fire World

“And then a vast creature that looked like a magma ball jumped out of the crater. I thought it might be an anomaly, but no... It was Fire Lavu. He grabbed one of ours and dragged him into the lava. He died right away, engulfed in liquid fire. Our screams alerted the Fireborns, who started running towards us, thinking we were preparing to attack.”

Fire World is a harsh and unfriendly location where Gatewalkers will face extreme temperatures and dangerous anomalies - fire tornados, geysers, and meteors! There is also no food or water, so it makes it very difficult to explore.
This dangerous environment led to the evolution of very mysterious creatures. In the heart of Fire World, you can find, for example, bizarre humanoids - Fireborns. Also, perilous beings like Fire Lavu jump out of the lava and attack unsuspecting victims. But don't think that they are the only ones! The fire world hides a lot of different creatures… At least we think so since Gatewalkers who return to the Guild after missions in Fire World are too exhausted to talk.

Medium Armor

Hello Brave Gatewalkers!

One of the features of Gatewalkers is a vast progression system. We deepened the topic of progression in the previous posts. If you have missed it, we encourage you to read it. Today, we want to show you a little bit more about mid armor, and to be exact, a lumberjack variant. It’s the last post about armors - be sure to read the previous ones about light and heavy armor.

When it comes to the technical aspect of progression and picking your armor elements, you have the possibility to mix them as you wish. That means you can choose any combinations of armor, weapons, and accessories that give you various skills, thanks to which you can adjust your character to your needs!

Look at the screens and see what medium armor looks like from T2 to T7 in the female and male versions (T1 is basic armor for all Gatewalkers starting their journey, and it looks the same for everyone). For the female version we used a hood as a headpiece (from T4), and for the male, we stayed with a ranger cap.

We wanted the armors to have their own skills too! That’s why armors and helmets have skills that can help you during a fight:

Tell us - what do you think about medium armors? We wanted them to look realistic, and solid with leather as a dominant material. They suit almost every weapon (we feel that it looks best with the bow and rifle, and you?). That’s why Gatewalkers value them for their utility and give crucial protection during battles.
