Bug fixes, profile updates

Version 0.9.62

Bug fix for EpicGameStore crashes, where they now force you to use their incompatible overlay with no option to disable. We automatically disable their overlay at game launch, then reenable at quit.

Added support for Dead Space, and a dramatically improved Batman Arkham Knight. Added support for EpicGameStore versions like TheLongDark.

The game fix info is now shown in the main panel, instead of lurking behind the Info icon, to make the HelixMod fix state more clear. If desired, it can be hidden in Settings->3D Fix.

Vulkan games now work on any driver.

Dramatic increase in 3D Vision profiles added to hacker-mode. Most of these will work in VR, but have not been tested fully. Now up to date with HelixModBlog and at parity with 3DFM 1.83.

If you have any problems, you can revert to 0.9.61, the previous default.

New profiles, profile updates, and bug fixes
Small update for bug fixes and game profiles.
Version 0.9.61

New game support for Hard Reset, Talos Principle, GhostRunner, Surge 2, LifeLess Planet, Unravel, Observer: System Redux, Serious Sam, and curiously, GTA 3.

The running game will be automatically brought to the front now, which should help avoid those confusing times where controls are affecting the HelixVision screen.

Includes updates for vulkan games and saving the convergence and separation that you set. All 5 games using VK3DVision are supported.

If you have any problems, you can revert to 0.9.57, the previous default.

New Features: Driver tab and Vulkan game support
Our latest update 0.9.57
This update includes a killer new feature of the Driver tab. It will detect and report on all the components necessary for HelixVision to work. It will give you a one-click health status for your 3D and VR state. This will be the first place to check if you run into problems.

The Driver tab will also recommend the current best video driver to use. At the moment this is stuck on 452.06, because we are not currently compatible with drivers released with the 3080 cards. The incompatibility is under investigation.

We've also added support for Helifax's awesome Vulkan wrapper, which means that Vulkan games are now compatible with HelixVision. It's worth noting that 3D Vision is not required for any Vulkan game, we've worked with Helifax to provide a direct connection to HelixVision VR.

Helifax's starting list of games were added: Detroit: Become Human, Doom (2016), Doom Eternal, The Surge 2, WolfenStein II: The New Colossus.

This release is mostly bug fixes and testing, so our curated list should be up to date.

Games added as VR compatible:
Left4Dead2, Strider, Batman: Arkham Asylum GOTY, Batman: Arkham City GOTY, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Batman: Arkham Origins, Sleeping Dogs

Games removed from curated list (require driver 425.31):
SystemShock 2, Tomb Raider 2013, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, FF Dissidia, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Thief, Shadow of the Tomb Raider

As always, please let us know on the steam forums if you run into any problems. Suggestions and feedback is always welcome.

Improvements for saving state and new profiles

This update includes some behind the scenes changes to improve how your 3D state is saved. Every game will have it's own settings for separation and convergence, and be restored at the next launch. Less need to dial in different settings, and some improved defaults. Default separation has been increased, and should give a more natural VRish look.

We also have a better method for detecting when game fixes are updated, so you should get fewer requests to update to a new version.

Lots of improvements to profiles, including a much smoother launch for FFXIV when using the standalone version. Some new games are VR compatible now including Rocket League, The Long Dark. Enslaved: Odyssey to the West, Shadow Complex Remastered, Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair, Dead Island and Dead Island Riptide: DE, Skyrim Special Edition, and even Fallout Shelter (better than you'd expect).

The screen has been moved closer and repositioned so that the default is now sitting instead of standing, so the center of the screen is lower. If you've saved settings, they'll take precedence.

Some UI improvements to make things easier to find, as the list has gotten bigger.

We hope you like the changes. Please let us know on the forums if you run into bugs or problems. These are the changes since the 0.9.37 version, and you can switch back to that version if you run into problems.

Latest version 0.9.29 - now any NVidia driver works

Our latest update has just gone live, of 0.9.29.

This version includes significant changes, that now allow us to work with any NVidia Driver. Rather than requiring version 425.31, or a system-wide driver hack, we now install that driver hack into the game directory. And it's only live while the game is live in 3D.

For normal use, your system-wide driver is untouched. For a given game running in VR, the video driver is modified only for the game itself. And is disabled when the game exits. If you alt-tab out, your system will see the normal video driver, only the game itself is affected by the mod.

We have tested on the last two latest versions of NVidia drivers, 446.14, and 451.48, and everything works as expected.

If you run into problems, or games that no longer work, please let us know.

You can also revert to 425.31 where this mod is unnecessary, and everything works.

And you can also revert to the Steam branch of 0.9.15-stable, which is the version that has been running for the last few weeks.
