[p]Happy New Year, commuters![/p][p]From the rugged peaks of Lion’s Head and Table Mountain to the southern Atlantic, Cape Town is a city where nature is never anything short of panoramic. Take control of traffic in South Africa’s second-largest city, guiding commuters through tunnels and over bridges to their destinations.[/p][p]We’re kicking off a big year of Mini Motorways updates with a fun one! As the first of four maps on our 2026 update roadmap, Cape Town will pose an interesting challenge for puzzle-minded players and offer coastal aesthetic opportunities for those who prefer to explore in Creative or Endless Mode. [/p][p]This update includes:[/p]

• [p]A brand new map: Cape Town![/p]
• [p]New Daily and Weekly Challenges[/p]
• [p]General bug fixes and polish[/p]
• [p]Opt-in anonymized analytics collection has been added to the game. These analytics are used by Dinosaur Polo Club to improve Mini Motorways and our future games. Data collection for gameplay analytics is off by default and player consent can be changed at any time through the in-game settings. Our Harbor Lights & Neon Nights Update explores the famous fragrant harbor of this iconic port city, renowned for its rich cultural heritage and colorful neon streets. [/p][p]From the harbor glow to the electric lotus sky, Hong Kong offers a gorgeous new landscape for you to design your dream city. Surrounded by water dotted with the famous Star Ferries, you’ll have to navigate the flow of Hong Kong’s residents as they go about their daily lives.[/p][p]Don’t miss out on exploring this new city with our recently released Creative Mode! With ultimate creativity unlocked, this mode allows you to design the bustling streets of our brand-new Hong Kong map just the way you like it. [/p][p]This update to Mini Motorways includes:[/p]

• [p]A brand new map: Hong Kong![/p]
• [p]Ferry terminals! Hong Kong introduces boats to the waterways of the Fragrant Harbour. Operating in a similar way to train stations and trains,  it’s your job to ensure these new floating obstacles don’t interrupt your traffic! Ferry terminals are new building types that will require careful planning and attention as you navigate ways across the water for your commuters.[/p]
• [p]New Achievements, Daily Challenges, Weekly Challenges, and City Challenges.[/p]
• [p]Don’t miss out on exploring our recently released Creative Mode.[/p]
• [p]Various minor bug fixes and performance improvements.[/p]

[p]As we were gearing up to celebrate the beauty of Hong Kong upon the release of this update, we were saddened to hear of the tragic high-rise fire in the Tai Po district. As such, we are pairing this update with a donation to the Tai Po Fire Emergency Appeal run by the Hong Kong Red Cross. To those who have lost a loved one, been displaced from their homes, or are otherwise impacted by this devastating incident, our hearts go out to you. Kia kaha from New Zealand.[/p]

[p]Hi, everyone![/p][p]As promised, we’re hot off the tails of the reveal of our beautiful Hong Kong map at Cozy Quest–coming this December!–and now seems like a great time to share everything that’s coming around the bend in the future, too.[/p][p]Next year, we’ll have four updates for you! [/p]

• [p]In February, we’ll have a new map and be prepping some backend stuff.[/p]
• [p]Come June, another new map with some additions to Creative Mode![/p]
• [p]A new map awaits in September, plus some Creative Mode quality-of-life tweaks annnnd a big community surprise![/p]
• [p]Then, as usual, we’ll have a new map to close out the year in December.[/p]

[p]We can't wait to see you again in December for our Hong Kong update! It's a city that's near and dear to some of us who have travelled and spent time with friends there. Beautiful by both day and night, set on a gorgeous and tricky landscape, it's a perfect Mini Motorways city.[/p][p]Looking back as we near the end of 2025, we're so proud of the work our team has done on big updates like Creative Mode and little things like bugfixes alike. But even moreso, we're so impressed by the creativity and ingenuity of our players. All the screenshots, gifs, YouTube videos, your thoughtful suggestions and questions.
