THE LOST KINGDOM MAJOR UPDATE

Hello Dark Hunters,

It’s been a while since our previous major update, really sorry for keeping you all waiting for so long. After being quiet for half a year and not resting for one day, we can finally present you with our last major update before the final release. As mentioned in previous notes, this update is about factions, skills, and much more content! You are empowered to choose factions and build your skill the way your like. In different areas, your action will trigger different events and outcomes.

Here are what we have included:

Factions

We have created two opposed Factions: Knight of Diamond Order and House of Blood Wolves

Each faction has its own base town. Following the storyline, you can decide which faction you prefer to join. Once you joined the faction, you can start to develop your skills by completing quests from that faction. The opposed faction leader will become a powerful boss for you to defeat.

Cargo-bay has been updated into a neutral faction, in which you can acquire quests and gain rewards. The cargo-bay NPC will also give players a clearer direction in terms of what players can do and basic information about other factions.





Skill Development

You can now develop permanent skills starting from getting a skill-drone from one of the Factions, so you should pick a side wisely. Knight clan is a lightning skill-based faction while the Wolf clan is a Blood skill-based faction. You will have chances to temporarily taste their skills from random totems in the maps, just remember the signs of their totems once you come across one. In the previous update, we have already introduced most of the lighting totems in the maps, therefor veteran players would be very familiar with the lightning skills.





In this update, you can now also taste and permanently gain below blood skills:

-Whirlwind: Transforms your arm into a weapon and whirlwind through your enemy.

- Slice and Dice: Release a group of shuriken to hitting enemy multiple times.

- Battle Blade: You will do a battle shout, which will create a ring of blades to damage the enemies around you.

- Blood Vortex: Throw powerful energy bombs explode into tornados, which pull enemies in and cause heavy damage.

- Silver Blood Strike: Fast teleport and strike down enemies with massive damage. ( you can change the direction of the strike in the air with analog stick)

- Blood Volley: Summon two small attack drones to assist you in a period,
in sync with your range weapon.

- Blood Seeker: Release a ring of blades that seeks and attacks enemies, then returns to you.

- Curse of Sorrow: Your melee strike will have chances to cause blood damage on enemies.

- Blood Lust: After slaying, an enemy, your next attack or special attack will cause extra damage within a short period.

- Bloody Parry: Greatly increase parry damage.

- Blood Power Shield: Blocks enemy attack damage by a percentage in a short period of time.

- Blood Orders: Temporarily extend maximum drone energy and your health by a percentage.

- Blood War Cry: Temporarily increases ranged weapon damage.

- Blood Mastery: Increases the power of Blood damage.

- Blood Run: Increase running speed by a percentage.

- Blood Droid: Summons a combat droid fights for you until its death.

- Curse of Blood: Your special melee attack will cause blood damage on enemies.

We have also added more powerful lightning skills on top of the existing skills:

- Dash of Death: Your dash leaves a lighting trail that causes damage to incoming enemies.

- Lightning Speed: Parry enemy refills your mana.

- Shock Wave: a percentage chance to cast a wave of lighting with melee.

- Lightning Teleport: Med range teleport.

- Vengeance Strike: When you take damage, you will inflict lightning damage on surrounding enemies.




The New biome - The lost Kingdom

To hold everything together, we have created a whole new world whose contents. In the lost kingdom, you will explore the post-apocalypse ruins of an old government district, The great swamp result of a failed artificial sun built by celestials, and the Underground Chamber abandoned lab with hidden treasures.



We also introduce, human factions, quests, and skill drones besides human soldiers, you will also encounter special dark creatures new Bosses, and super mutant humanoids.


-Three main large maps: The Underground Chamber, The Great Swamp, and B40 Megastructure

-Two Interactable towns: Knight Town and Wolf Town.

-Two special scenes: The old Chancellery and The Blood Temple

-Three + One Boss scenes depend on a player's decision to play.



On top of that, we have added two more special quest maps in world 1 and world 2, waiting for you to explore.

Therefore, the current contents have almost doubled the size of previous contents. Also, players will have multiple ways to play.

New Enemies

We have developed four types of human liked enemies which you will come across in the new world. They have more intelligent behaviors compared to old enemies. Also featuring player execution behavior to those new enemies. Therefore, you will have a much more exciting and challenging combat experience.





We have listened to our community feedback and advice to balance and refine our game. However, due to the huge content development workload, we could only cover a small amount of the balancing and refining jobs:

-Adjusted the system for the new players to have an easier start when first into the game. Then the difficulty will gradually increase when you start to level up, so the hardcore players can still enjoy the challenge.

-Increased the attack range of all ranged weapons, so you can hit enemies from a further position.

-Improved camera system especially for player jump following.

-Improved NPC talker UI so you’ll have an easier reading time and more clear direction.

-Increased chance of stackable health supply and higher value for each heal.


There are still several things on our to-do list which we are planning to include in the next patch update:

-To create a smoother combat experience we are going to separate Range weapons into ammo systems.

-Improve controller system for skill usage

-Improve on hit experience by adding in controller shake.

A Glimpse of the New World

Hi Dark Hunters,

We have been quiet over the past couple of months. Please stick with us and be patient, we are still working very hard towards the next major update and final release.

Due to the fact that we are taking time to adapt community feedbacks refining the game also developing new contents, the process takes longer than we expected. Therefore, our final release date might need to be pushed back a little. Our current goal is to release the full game in the 1st Quarter of 2022. However, we are still aiming to push out a major update by the end of this year.

In the major update, we will be introducing faction and quest system, which will add another layer of game play experience. We are also working on new skills, new maps and new characters for you to interact with.

Update Patch V0.65

Hi All,

Just a small follow up patch update after our major ‘Skill Boost’ update.
Here is the detail:

1. Refined player interface, adjusted the size of the health and energy bar, also made the interface scalable in ‘Option menu’
2. Refined player animation, removed unexpected movement during melee attack.
3. Fixed bug in player upgrade vendor.
4. Updated the name and description of the default drone.
5. Refined ‘Death Thunder’s Edge’ sword control, player can now change direction even during special attack charge.

Skill Boost Update

Hello Dark Hunters,

As we mentioned in our last update in May, we are now focusing on developing new contents, adding more featured systems and refining the detail according to the feedbacks from our community. While we are aiming to release the full game by the end of 2021, we are pleased to deliver this major update to you, so our Dark Hunters can have a taste of exciting new player skills earlier.

Player skill update
Players can now seek Power-tower through the world to acquire temporary skills.



In this update, we have included:

Eight powerful lightening skills:
Chain Lighting - Grant player a transformable arm, casting lightning chain to cause damage to nearby enemies.

Lightning storm - Lightning storm around you cause massive damage and knock back enemies.



Lighting omen - Cast a lightning aura, summons a lightning strike that periodically blasts a nearby enemy.

Lightning Nova - Creates a wave of electrical energy radiating from player
cause lightning damage to enemies.

Tempest Rage - Grant player a transformable arm, fires a long Lightning bolt seek nearby enemies.



Sonic shield - A throwable grenade, casts a lighting wall to damage incoming enemies.

Thunder Strike - grant player a transformable arm, throwable explodes to create a lighting cloud turns enemies within into emitters pass damage to nearby enemies.

Lightning Attack - Enable your normal melee attack to cause lightning damage to the initial target and release a "Lightning bolt" from the hit enemy, which jumps to nearby enemies.

Seven Angelic skills:

Miners Luck - Drops random upgrading stones for you to collect.
Angel’s touch - Temporarily increase the maximum capacity of player health to the next level.
First Aid - Drops x3 health orbs for you to collect.
Power Supply - Drops 3 random throwable weapons.
Drone Energy Refuel - Temporarily increase the maximum capacity of drone energy to the next level.
Energy boost - Temporarily increase the maximum capacity of player energy to the next level.
Banker: Allows to convert shards to currency in game.



Three special skills:
Kamikaze drones: Active homing drones, seek and explode at your command,
give enemies fire damage.



Drone Energy Leech - Increase drone energy leech by killing enemies.
Toxic Mine - Stun enemy and release poison cloud when enemy steps on the toxic mine.

You will also come across Dark-towers, which you will find out the secret about it.

Players can accumulate the skills and fast switch these skills in the game but until the next life.
For each life, you will come across different Power-towers, at different places, which provides you different kinds of skills by chance for you to choose.
In the future, some of these skills will be used in permanent player build, so you will be able to customize the character skill the way you like. Skills will be linked to different drones.

Besides player temporary skill update, we have also refined the game, fixed several bugs

- Player has better jump reaction.
- Drone energy consumption has been separated from player energy.
- Player temporary skill is sharing drone energy.
- We have re-designed player interface, which allows you to utilize new player skills.
- Weapon upgrade bug has been fixed.
- Increased the chance for stone carriers to drop small weapon stones, for general weapon upgrade.
- Adjusted enemy spawn positions at transitions doors and spawn points, so player is less likely to be cornered by enemies.
- Weapon upgrade freeze bug fixed.

Update Patch V0.64 - Play experience improvement

Hello Dark Hunters,

It is almost half way through 2021, hope you are doing well.
To keep you all updated, we are still working hard on developing more content for our game at the same time refining and shaping Dark Light according to your feedbacks.
We are still aiming to release the full game by the end of 2021. Before that, we are able to make this in between update to present you with a more polished game, wishing you have a better experience with Dark Light.
Here is the list of what we have included in this update:

- You can now reclaim high % of lost shards from Dark Hunter’s previous dead body at the same spot where he died. Less farming needed for shards.





- We have set up respawn points in ‘Sewer’, so you don’t have to always go back to portals in ‘Underground’



- ‘Low energy’ warning is added, so you’ll know when you should stop using your energy.



- Character run, crouch, run inertia animations have been refined.
- Added camera shake on enemy death, improved impact on attacking enemies.
- Character fall gravity has been refined.
- Redesigned ‘Option’ page interface, enlarged text size.
- Drone will remind you when your inventory is full.
- Fixed music bug in underground city.
- Added sound effect to water splash.
- Fixed bug on upward attack when it can go through ceilings.
- Reinforced elite enemies (gem droppers), increased attack and movement speed. Added skull sign on them so you can recognize them immediately.
- Other small bugs fixed.

To keep you all updated, we are still striving to create new contents also developing player build options to add more layers of playability.
