Plague Island. First details about new continents



We are launching a series of articles about seasonal continents in general, and about the first of them, Plague Island.
Remember that this is currently only a concept that may change in the future.

[h3]What are Seasonal Continents?[/h3]
We plan to add new seasonal continents every 3-4 months. Uncharted territories with new inhabitants, changes in the rules of the game (for example, loss of items upon death, new types of damage, etc.), a campaign with a number of quests, a dungeon, as well as new resources, items, and rewards await you! We plan to keep these continents in the game forever.

Access to seasonal continents will be free! You will be able to complete the main quests and pick up rewards for this, get new resources and items. If you wish, you can purchase a Battle Pass - you will unlock additional quests and the opportunity to receive unique cosmetic rewards (mounts, pets, home and territory decor, cloaks, frames, titles, etc.). The Battle Pass is only available for a limited time and will change with the launch of a new continent (regular quests and rewards can be received without time limits).

[h3]First season. Plague Island[/h3]
The first season starts this fall! Travelers will sail to the island, where they will face a long-raging plague epidemic, explore gloomy forests, swamps, abandoned villages, and will know a story of the island.

Major update! Healer, horses and new pets, Step 2 changes the combat system

Healing skill
- Added three Healer tool sets to the recipe book.
- If the Healer's weapon is in hand, it becomes possible to use bandages, ointments and medicines on other players and pets.
- Added 6 abilities and a new Healing skill bonus.

New pets and horses
- Now you have a chance to meet a small guardian animal when mining resources, but be careful, they only seem harmless in appearance. Plus you can catch them. It is with these pets that you can find bonuses to accelerated leveling to all missing crafting and exploration skills.
- Added 8 horse colors of three types of rarity to the game. Four colors can be found on the plains and in the thicket.
- Next to the tavern, the stableman Henry has settled, from whom you can buy horses of unique colors.

Combat changes
- Now you can create bolases, with which you can slow down the enemy, as well as dismount players.
- Most large animals, as well as all bosses, now have a chance to dismount a player when attacking.
- Now, when riding, the defensive bonuses of dodge, parry, and block with a shield are reduced by 4 times.
- Added 3 new abilities for the Knives skill.
- Certain normal attacks and shots now consume more stamina.
- Active abilities have increased stamina cost.
- Light armor received a passive ability that reduces stamina costs.
- Fixed a bug due to which the damage bonuses for top weapons were not applied.
- Fixed a bug due to which shields did not reduce the damage done by the player.

Other changes and bug fixes
- Added auto run (Caps Lock or Num Lock) similar to holding down the W button, camera rotation changes direction. Actions with chat, inventory, and interface do not disable auto run.
- A mountable pet can now be placed in a mount slot.
- Now the base speed of mounts and pets that can be mounted is displayed in the tooltip.
- Now abilities on the quick action bar that cannot be used now will look inactive.
- Fixed bugs due to which some objects entering and exiting dungeons could interfere with damage or arrows flying.
- Fixed a bug due to which bushes, low plants, mushrooms, as well as the place of death of the player could interfere with the flight of arrows or damage with weapons.
- Fixed a bug due to which a pet received experience several times if several types of periodic damage were applied on the killed mob.
- Now, if the cursor is on an ally when attacking, then the attack or shot will not be directed in his direction, but will correctly take into account the point on the surface.
- Improved the packaging of the dominium to eliminate problems with the possible situation of duplicate dominiums.
- Fixed a bug due to which the position of the auction window kept its position when updated.
- Fixed a bug due to which the abilities of thrown weapons worked incorrectly when you click them with the mouse.
- Fixed a bug due to which materials for Farming could fall into the wrong category of the auction.
- Fixed a bug due to which the inscription above the pet when hovering the cursor remained if the pet was recalled.
- Fixed a bug due to which after relocation from the island to the continent there could be an empty list of quests before the dominium was placed.

- The Unity developers have recognized an engine issue that is causing invisible walls in WT2. Hopefully their team will fix the bug soon. You can vote to solve the problem (requires a Unity account).

Reports from the devfield. What we are working on?



The next major update will be out on July 29th! We'll be adding a new support role, buff the daggers, adding a few pets and horses, balancing stamina costs, and many other changes and fixes.

[h3]What's in the next update:[/h3]
- Healing skill. You can apply bandages, ointments, and medicines to pets and other players (from a short distance), remove negative effects and sacrifice your health to save others. 6 abilities and new skill bonuses await you.
- New pets and Horses. When gathering some materials and fishing, there is a chance of spawning a small angry animal (the type depends on material), which can be tamed. Also, we have added horses - you can hunt for rare horse colors and new bonuses.
- Daggers and light armor. The knives will have 3 new abilities at once, which will better reveal the role of these deadly assassins. And light armor will have a passive ability to reduce stamina costs.
- Stamina cost balance. All abilities, some simple hits, and defensive mechanics cost almost nothing (stamina). We want to increase the cost to make the choice of using abilities and replenishing stamina more important.
- Bolases. Will be used to slow down the target and also help knock the player off the mount.
- A bit about other improvements. Auto run function, the ability to equip a pet in a mount slot, a winemaker's villa, and other changes.

We are also continuing to work on a new continent and more related content, but these changes will appear in the game at a later date.
