Hotfix Update v2.0.2

Hello, Knights!

We wanted to get you another hotfix patch before the weekend. We fixed a bunch of issues and as always, a huge thanks to our community for helping identify and troubleshoot a lot of these!

  • Fixed a bug with Umbral Ember Buster Challenge where charge attacks weren't being counted when the Buster Ammo Skill Ultimate Upgrade is equipped πŸ”₯
  • Fixed a bug with Ember Buster's Sticky Bomb where the count was not properly updated if the status effect was cleared from a miniboss or boss dying πŸ”₯
  • Fixed a bug with Ice Burst and Ground Hunter where the combination could freeze enemies without requiring a Perfect cast πŸ”₯
  • Fixed a bug that was causing the training dummy to disappear after visiting the Trophy Hall πŸ”₯
  • Fixed a bug with Stormpike where it would immediately collide with a wall if casting next to a wall πŸ”₯
  • Fixed a bug with Boss Rush and local co-op where players couldn't leave after defeating Warlord Mack, Dreadlord Mack, or Oukranos πŸ”₯
  • Fixed a few bugs related to Boss Rush where enemies would occasionally not spawn properly
  • Fixed a bug with the Boss Rush where the timer could stop after defeating the first boss πŸ”₯
  • Fixed a bug with water reflections in Boss Rush πŸ”₯
  • Fixed a few visual issues with Herald in Boss Rush πŸ”₯
  • Fixed a bug with Horde where it was not being disabled in Daily Dungeons πŸ”₯
  • Fixed a bug with The Collector's tooltip where it was a white box after returning to the Nexus from a Boss Rush or Daily Dungeon πŸ”₯
  • Fixed a bug where players wouldn't receive the Collector's Ember Dust if they purchase the DLC after seeing him appear in the Nexus πŸ”₯
  • Fixed a bug where the weapon skin could change after playing a Daily Dungeon πŸ”₯
  • Fixed a bug with the Praxis fight where dealing enough damage to bypass the first phase transition could cause a softlock πŸ”₯
  • Fixed a bug where Wisps could kill Praxis during the falling floor sequence if their damage is high enough πŸ”₯
  • Fixed a bug with Trinity where "clear a run" achievements were being awarded after beating Praxis and not The Architect πŸ”₯
  • Fixed a bug with the Ember Tree UI where the upgrade cost could disappear if navigating away from an active upgrade πŸ”₯
  • Fixed a bug with Guided Assault where it could become stuck if the enemy dies
  • Fixed a bug with Inferno Bastille where certain props incorrectly contained gold
  • Fixed a few various visual bugs with Inferno Bastille enemies
  • Fixed a few bugs where the Architect's visuals could remain on screen
  • Fixed a bug with Valkyrie MK.VI where he could slide across the screen in his intro sequence πŸ”₯

  • Fixed a bug with Boon of Wisdom where the increased charges would not be available after saving and quitting
  • Fixed a bug with incorrect Refinement Shop prices and Discount Card πŸ”₯
  • Fixed a bug where the revive token icon was covering up triple digit armor amounts πŸ”₯
  • Fixed a bug where Cloak and Dagger was being incorrectly removed when rerolling Reaper's Toll with Bane of Expertise πŸ”₯
  • Fixed a few multiplayer issues with Trinity and the Architect fight πŸ”₯
  • Fixed a multiplayer bug where attempting to start a run while Player 2 is disconnected could cause a softlock
  • Fixed a bug with Squidling in multiplayer where certain combinations of upgrades while defeating a poisoned enemy could cause a softlock πŸ”₯
  • Fixed a few multiplayer issues where Skill Selectors could ignore or skip player's selections in unstable network conditions
  • Fixed a multiplayer bug where players could enter the cutscene trigger in the start room of Simulan before all other players were loaded in πŸ”₯
  • Fixed a multiplayer bug where rerolling the shop 256 times would cause clients to no longer be able to reroll
  • Closed the tear in the room before seeing True Praxis or The Architect
  • Improved the visual clarity of difficulty modifiers that can have their options toggled independently πŸ”₯

Hotfix Update v2.0.1

Hello, Knights!

The reception for the Wrath of the Architect DLC has been incredible and we're super glad you're loving the update! It makes all the hard work leading up to launch worth it!

You've also been very helpful in identifying and troubleshooting the handful of new bugs. We've addressed the biggest ones and have included the fixes in the following hotfix patch. Please see below for details.

  • Fixed a major issue that was causing the majority of multiplayer issues in 3 and 4 player games πŸ”₯
  • Fixed an issue with save files where a large gap between updates could cause old save files to be reset πŸ”₯
  • Fixed an issue where players couldn’t interact with The Collector unless they reset the rebinding on their interact key πŸ”₯
  • Fixed an issue where players could become softlocked during the Lady Inferna fight πŸ”₯
  • Fixed an issue where Netherra could not be entered from Simulan with 15 or more difficulty orbs enabled πŸ”₯
  • Fixed an issue that could cause a softlock when the Golden Steward appears πŸ”₯
  • Fixed a bug where players could become stuck in one of the Boss Rush rooms πŸ”₯
  • Fixed a bug that was causing 4 Steam achievements to be automatically granted πŸ”₯
  • Fixed a bug that was preventing Champion enemies from spawning in DLC worlds πŸ”₯
  • Fixed an issue with selectors not having any options in multiplayer games πŸ”₯
  • Fixed an issue with players being unable to access the secret room in Simulan πŸ”₯
  • Fixed a bug that was causing a softlock with Incompetence and upgrading a skill without equipping a second skill
  • Fixed an issue with Webblings in Boss Rush Mode that could cause a softlock

Ember Knights: Wrath of the Architect DLC is available now!

Hello Knights!

It's finally here! Ember Knights 2.0 - Wrath of the Architect is now available!



We've been hard at work on some form of the DLC for the past year and we can't wait for you to finally get your hands on it. Ember Knights has been a passion project for the entire team here at Doom Turtle and we feel extremely grateful to be able to put together one hell of a DLC. We hope you love it!



The DLC is absolutely packed with new content and features including new worlds, new bosses and minibosses, new enemies, new weapons, new skills, new relics, new curses, new secrets, new player colors, new achievements, new difficulty modifiers, and of course, the epic showdown against the Architect! PLUS, the DLC also includes everything from the free Ember Knights 2.0 update including Daily Dungeons, Boss Rush Mode, Chaos Mode, local multiplayer save and quit, more player colors, and who can forget...the beloved Nexus pets, the Ember Dog AND Ember Cat! This DLC comes with 4 new bosses and 4 new minibosses. The gatekeepers of the altered new worlds will show no mercy, especially to that of a measly Ember Knight.



If you manage to survive these deadly new bosses, prepare for the ultimate showdown as you take on the creator of the entire Ember Knights universe himself - The Architect!

2 new weapons will be added to your repertoire - the Hyper Gloves and the Ember Buster. Both weapons offer a unique new way to defeat the legions of new enemies waiting for you in this DLC.

I bought the DLC, when will I get the new content? Spoilers ahead.
  • If you're a brand new player, the DLC content will unlock after meeting Evee and seeing Praxis in Steadfast Citadel, the second world of the base game. Note: these two conditions occur very early in the game and are required to preserve the flow of the story.
  • If you're already a player, the DLC content will unlock right away.
Does the DLC work in multiplayer?
  • Yes
Do my friends need to buy the DLC for us to play together?
  • No. If the host has purchased the DLC, the team will have access to the new content. However, for a client to have the new content on their own account, they would need to purchase the DLC.
Are the different game modes available in multiplayer?
  • Yes

Hotfix Update v1.5.3

Hello, Knights!

We bring you a small update to address a few bugs and close off the Ember Cat Challenge. First thing's first, you're due a huge congratulations for absolutely crushing the challenge!



We still can't believe how you blew the goal completely out of the water!
Needless to say, the Ember Cat is getting made and will be included in the free Ember Knights 2.0 Update!

Ember Cat and Astral Ascent Collaboration Update

Hello, Knights!

This is a bit of a surprise update since we originally planned to cease updates between 1.5 and Ember Knights 2.0 - Wrath of the Architect, but the following content could not be ignored!


[h2]EMBER CAT - GLOBAL COMMUNITY CHALLENGE[/h2]
We've heard your requests for an Ember Cat to go along with our adorable Ember Dog, so we've created a global community challenge for our players to show us that there's enough interest for an Ember Cat. If there is, we are committed to making the Ember Cat a reality!



When you first launch the 1.5.2 update, you'll see a new icon on the main menu. Opening that will provide more information as to how the challenge works. In short, just keep doing what you do - go on runs, kill enemies, kill minibosses and bosses, and earn points!
Once in the Nexus, visit the new Wanted sign that the Stewards have so carefully built. This will be your home for keeping track of your personal progress as well as the global points total.
For your individual efforts, we've added some fun new rewards!




[h2]ASTRAL ASCENT COLLABORATION[/h2]
We've been talking to the wonderful people over at Hibernian Workshop and it turns out, they're huge fans of Ember Knights! We also love what they're doing with Astral Ascent, so we decided to collaborate! We love what we've come up with and we think you will too!

Both games feature crossover content and in Ember Knights, you'll now see a cute little Yalee running around the Nexus. Interact with them and they'll give you a brand new skill - the Yalee Barrage. In addition, they'll also give you the Astral Ember Dust to unlock a brand new player color!



Also be sure to check out the latest update from Astral Ascent (also live today!) as they created their version of the Praxis fight!
