Upcoming update - New residence, fish growth

Hello,
Just a few words to say that we are still fixing the bugs for you, and the update will be released in a few days, together with a new residence preview and fish growth system.

Residence will be now placed on the map, you will be able to catch bluegill and pumpkinseed. The building is bigger, different, and modular, so with bigger fish, we will be able to make it larger. We have one other idea for big fish like sharks, sturgeon,s but for no,w its just an idea in our heads.




Some of you pointed out that not enough big fish are spawning on the map, so we came up with the idea to bring to life our previous idea a bout fish growth.

The system will still spawn fish randomly when you enter the map, but fish in your area will grow up till they reach max weight. After they reach it, they will be alive for a while, then they DIE, and new fish with random weight is spawned, and the cycle repeats. Of course it will not grow once you hooked it :D

This should allow to make it more enjoyable while hunting bigger fish or fit fish to hook size.

  • Fixed the invisible sturgeon bug in the Kiel Canal location.
  • Fixed the Eagle Eye bug caused by inaccurate main camera tracking, which rendered the fish ghost in the wrong position (most noticeable in the Kiel Canal).
  • Added an exhausted state for fish when stamina reaches 0, causing them to swim slowly and restricting pulling.
  • Added an Underwater Blur Effect option to the settings panel and linked it to Beautify DoF.
  • Applied hand power resistance only when pulling the rod upward with a hooked fish; the downward motion remains quick.
  • Turned off the underwater point light.
  • Dynamically set KWS transparency when switching to underwater mode to improve visibility.
  • Moved Water Graphics settings to a separate category in the settings panel.

  • Fixed missing sun references in Beautify plugin on scenes, causing errors in console after entering location;
  • Fixed SplineBending errors showing in Kiel location;
  • Fixed bug causing possible equipment damage when extracting fish, leading to invisible fish in the catch panel;
  • Fixed the GPIUnstancer bug causing a large lag when the player returns from the menu, shop, or inventory back to gameplay;
  • Fixed missing avatar head shadow and enabled head rendering when the camera is in bait/underwater mode;
  • Fixed rod bending: IK bones now start closer to handle;
  • Disable time and weather indicators in the top-right HUD corner;
  • Slightly decrease the fight stats for the heaviest fish.

[h2]New Spawn System[/h2]
A new spawn system has been implemented. The new system was to fix spawning BIG fish in shallow water.

The system is now available on the Thailand map. Big sharks and other fish are now available only in the open Ocean.

[h2]Stamina & Rod Bending[/h2]
We are working on another patch with another pack of adjustments for these two!

A bit of a comedy, but we managed to tame the stamina system. We are eager to hear your thoughts. It's up to adjusting, so if something is too easy/too hard, we now have an easy way to adjust that. I wish we could have thought about it earlier!

  • Added a faster swimming animation for fish during jumps and line tension.
  • Restored the fish stamina system with modifications to prevent fish from stopping abruptly while ensuring that larger fish become fatigued after a prolonged fight.
  • Disabled immediate fish pickup when their stamina is above zero (previously, if a fish attacked the lure close to the player, it could be picked up instantly).
  • Fixed various null reference issues.
  • Fixed white cubes appearing near the hook.
  • Fixed the fish pickup indicator appearing in the catch panel.



[h3]Regarding Fisher Online[/h3]
There was a case between our games. Please be respectful of their game. They put a lot of hard work into their title, they have great fishing mechanics. There is no bad blood between us developers, and it should be the same between community users.
