Patch 0.1.2.1 is Now Live!



Greetings Tavern Keeps!

Today we’re bringing out our second patch for Travellers Rest, correcting more of the bugs and issues that have been reported, and making a few adjustments and tweaks to some of the features. Here are the notes for today’s patch, version 0.1.2.1:

  • Null item for order quest
  • Tomatoes have no crafting modifiers
  • Enchanted broom disappearing
  • Item duplication with crafting
  • Customers leaving happy when kicked out/declined
  • Orders not being completed with appropriate item
  • Customers that are blocked still pay for room
  • Hired staff stuck when hiring with no money
  • Important customer renting rooms
  • Enchanted brooms sweeping before being placed
  • Keybinds not saving
  • Teddy bear disappearing when placed on bed
  • Orders not translating when changing languages

  • Staff not arriving (untested)
  • Important customer not arriving (untested)



Tweaks:

  • Rotated table's surface size
  • Staff cost more
  • Hiding UI temporarily removed
  • Fences no longer buyable



Changes:

  • Russian language option
  • Rebind sprint key
  • Toggle sprint key
  • Option to activate cheats
  • Windowed mode



As many will remember, we also released the first patch, version 0.1.1, on Saturday, August 1st. If you missed that patch, or were wondering what changed, here were the fixes for that patch:

  • Fixes a crash when reaching reputation 7 in French
  • A bunch of localisation errors, mainly the showing up in tutorial pop-ups
  • Order quests requesting no item or no modifiers
  • Unlocking farming before the Farming quest
  • Being able to accept orders before reaching the require reputation



We greatly appreciate all the reporting and testing from the community, and helping us to identify and correct these issues. Greetings, Tavernkeeps!

To say that the response to Travellers Rest has been overwhelming would be an understatement. We are humbled and grateful for the incredible outpouring of love for the game and the amazing reviews (98% positive!!), comments, and feedback we’ve received.

We’ve been very busy keeping up with bug reports, and Louqou has already started tackling some of the things we’ve seen reported. While we do not have a set patch schedule that we’ll be sticking to, the following issues will be corrected in our first patch planned for tomorrow:

  • Fixed a crash when reaching reputation 7 in French
  • Corrected a bunch of localisation errors, mainly “” showing up in tutorial pop-ups
  • Order quests for no item or no modifiers
  • Unlocking farming before the Farming quest
  • Being able to accept orders before reaching the required reputation



This is only the first small round of fixes, and plenty more are in the works as we gather all of the incoming reports and begin to prioritize the most major bugs, and get those taken care of. If you’re playing the game, and run into any issues, be sure to stop by our bug reports channel on Discord and let us know!

We’ve heard players asking for more information about the roadmap, and while we don’t have an exact date to share with you, it is coming, and we hope to be sharing the first glimpse of that with you in a couple of weeks. We will be opting to share a quarterly version of the roadmap rather than a more extensive one, which will allow us to be more accurate, and to best reflect what’s currently being worked on.

Welcome to Travellers Rest Early Access!

We are so excited to welcome you to the Early Access release of Travellers Rest! We want to say a heartfelt thanks to our community for helping us reach this milestone, and for supporting our game every step of the way. From testing, to translations, to just playing the demo and offering your feedback, your help has been invaluable in getting the game ready for today.

Over the last several months, Louqou has worked tirelessly to add new features and content, and to squash as many bugs as our testers could find. These are just some of the changes and additions:

  • Renting rooms - decorate and rent rooms to weary travellers.
  • Kitty! You now have a pet cat, along with a water bowl, bed, and a relationship system.
  • Trends - Fluctuating item trends. Stocking trending items will reward you with more reputation and money!
  • Magic broom - Sick of mopping up after your customers? This enchanted broom will keep your floors clean.
  • Localisation - Including French, Spanish, German, Polish, Chinese, Portuguese, Turkish, Japanese, and Korean.
  • Sprint meter - increase your stamina by upgrading your Bartending skill!
  • Earn more reputation and money by stocking unique items.
  • Don’t stay up too late - you will now sleep-in after passing out.
  • Crafting yield - Increasing your Crafting skill to increase the amount of items you get from crafting.
  • Hovering over beer taps displays a tooltip that displays the current keg.
  • A link to our discord and now be found on the pause menu.


Over the coming days and weeks, we’ll be releasing our Early Access roadmap so that the community can catch a glimpse of what will be coming to Travellers Rest. There is a lot planned, and we’ll be listening eagerly to the community’s feedback and suggestions as we work toward the final release of the game. If you’re the creative type, you can even drop by on Discord and toss in your text lines for the townspeople. We’ve had so many great submissions already, and we look forward to adding them into the game over time.

Our immediate priority following today’s release will of course be fixing bugs and issues that arise now that the game is out “in the wild.” If you encounter any, please let us know on our Discord bug reports channel. Our Early Access journey is just the beginning for the game, and we look forward to building the game alongside you!

Travellers Rest releases on the 28th of July, in 2 days! Demo Removal also!

Hello there fellow Travellers!





We just wanted to take the opportunity to thank each and every one of you who has wishlisted the game, played the demo or participated in localization and beta testing!



So much has changed in the past few months that the current Demo is now out of date to the point of it not being representative of the Early Access product that we will be launching on Tuesday 28th of July at 6 pm CEST. As such, starting this afternoon we will be removing the Demo link entirely. We initially had only made the demo for the Steam Summer Festival, but due to popular demand kept it available until now.




We've all been working hard in preparation for early-access. We look forward to hearing your responses and hope you have fun with the game! Your feedback helps make the game better!



On a side note, over 25 thousand people have wishlisted the game in a little under two months, which we feel is amazing and humbling. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Greetings, Tavernkeeps!

With only 11 days remaining till the Early Access launch, beta testing is in full swing, and we’re squashing bugs left and right as our testers find them. We appreciate all the time and effort our testers are putting in to ensure that the game is ready to roll for launch! This help is invaluable to us in polishing the game and shaping it as we move forward with new content and features. We would also like to remind everyone to be sure to check out the demo, as it will be departing once the game is fully launched on Early Access. As it is an older version of the game, it no longer reflects the content and features available in the upcoming EA version, and would not do the game justice. If you enjoy the demo, please be sure you’ve added the game to your wishlist, so that you will be notified when the game is live!

On the community side, it has been an absolute delight seeing all the submissions coming in for the Tavern Talk event, and we hope everyone will get their ideas submitted before the cutoff on the 28th. If you’ve been procrastinating, please be sure to drop by on Discord and get those text lines sent in for use in the game! These lines for customers will help keep the experience fun, and bring so much character and life to the tavern. We look forward to giving you more ways to add to the game and share your creativity.

The next couple of weeks will be a crazy time for the team, but we are thankful to everyone who has supported the game, become part of the community, and who has submitted feedback, bug reports and ideas for the game. We look forward to building the future of Travellers Rest along with you in the coming months, and seeing our roadmap plans come to fruition.
