Sweeping Heights: Announcing a FREE DemonCrawl Expansion!

We are very excited to announce Sweeping Heights, an upcoming expansion for DemonCrawl that will reshape the endgame as you know it!

Sweeping Heights will be made available as a free update for all players - it's our way of saying thank you for showing so much enthusiasm and support for DemonCrawl. We could not ask for a better audience!

[h2]What can we expect?[/h2]

Without spoiling too much, we can say that that the expansion will be heavily influenced by our recent community poll. Here are a few teasers:

• Sweeping Heights will feature a major endgame overhaul across multiple gamemodes (Beyond, Endless Multiverse, and Hero Trial.)
  
• Several other highly-requested features will make their way into the expansion as a secondary point of focus. New masteries? Yup. New achievements? We've got 'em in spades.
  
• Sweeping Heights will set a standard for future DemonCrawl expansions and give us an opportunity to learn the process of developing DLC for Steam and Google Play.
  

[h2]When can we expect it?[/h2]

We are hoping to release Sweeping Heights in about 2-3 months. Sweeping Heights is currently in the final stages of its design, and development is set to begin next week. We will announce a launch date as soon as the finish line is in sight.

Our plan is to continue releasing stability patches as we work on the expansion, but we can't make any promises as far as new content during this period - DemonCrawl is programmed by one person, and an expansion like this will require a lot of time and energy. However, we are confident that the wait will be worth it!

Are you a talented pixel artist? If so, feel free to reach out to us at [email protected] with examples of your work, and we might be interested in enlisting your help with the expansion. In particular, we are eager to implement a bunch of new avatars and inventories to DemonCrawl. We may also call upon you for help with new stage graphics or item sprites, though that discussion would come later in the year.
