Chapter 8-3 has been implemented!

【Bugs and Notes】

・The effects of most new permanent items (legacy, magic, etc.) have not been implemented, and the Mystic Gate/Last Infuser devices have also not been implemented.
This will be fixed tomorrow. Sorry.
(I was actually planning to do this before the update, but since it's been 36 hours since I woke up, I decided it would definitely be a bad idea to start now)

・There are problems such as the BGM not switching with Ctrl+Z.

・Chapter 8-1 and 8-2 have been included in the Chapter 8 DLC.
(They have been moved from the main package to the Chapter 8 DLC)

・However, players who purchased the game when the main package was free can receive Chapter 8 for free.
(Or rather, it should already be in your library)

【The Mirrors Tactical Labyrinth has been implemented!】
Chapter 8-3 Mirrors Tactical Labyrinth has been implemented.
“Memories await you from within the mirror.”

This stage is not a “Very Hard” stage, but as an exception, a Special Clear will appear.
It may be the most difficult stage so far.
(In terms of understanding the gimmick, rather than the parameter settings...)

At least the programmer writing this has had to work on the script for about three stages, and the number of lines written has exceeded 6000 (more than 10,000 if you include the discarded lines).
I think I'll destroy the game designer by the end of the year.

As always, I'm sorry for the delay.
However, I think that those who have played this stage will understand why it took so long.

The content of Chapter 8-3 does not yet have the “effect” implemented, but the “acquisition flag” itself should be implemented. (Probably)
Many of the permanent items this time are also very difficult to acquire, so please try your best to collect them.

In particular, the Mirror Orb is extremely powerful. If you can clear the Special, you can get extremely powerful Legacy items worth 500 to 1000 pieces of Solar Stone.
(However, it may be the most difficult to obtain so far.)

【Plans for this month and next month】
In about 2 to 3 weeks, we plan to add “Character Graphics for New Players”, which had a high percentage of votes on Discord before.
Chapter 8-4 is scheduled for April 25th. I hope we can implement it without any delays.

Also, as an experiment, we plan to test selling “TacticalNexus's Media Player” as DLC this month or next month.
(This will be a test to sell “completely worthless paid content” as mentioned in a previous article.)

[The next DLC will remain expensive] The price of all DLC after Chapter-9 is $1

To cut to the chase, the following is the situation.

◆DLC for Chapters 9, 10 and EX-1 will be sold for $1
(Chapter 8 itself will be sold for $25 due to various circumstances, such as not being able to check the terms and conditions in time and the difficulty of lowering the price due to the “compensation for making the main package free”).

◆Instead, “paid content” such as the soundtrack and “completely meaningless skins (skins that players are unlikely to want)” will be sold at a high price.
(This is implemented with the intention of “If you find the DLC interesting, please buy it to support us.”
The fact that it is worthless will be clearly stated on the store page.

The intention of the paid content is to realize a system where “only satisfied players (at their own discretion) pay for the game after it has been played”, and there is absolutely no way that content that affects the game will be sold.
Content related to QoL (game quality of life) and the type of skin content that players want will be implemented in the main package and other content.
To give an example, a dedicated BGM player will appear for the soundtrack, but at the point of sale for the soundtrack, the BGM ogg or mp3 file will be included in the main package.
In other words, “if you want to listen to the BGM, you can get the file for free”, and we have no intention of specifically prohibiting the extraction of BGM, aside from secondary use in the game).

◆The intention of this change is mainly for heavy users of Discord, and is not intended to benefit or advertise to new players.

◆In short, there is nothing in particular that players will lose from this change.
(There may be some people who find it annoying that the store page is full of lists of irrelevant paid items)

I'm not sure how it feels to release this announcement when the next DLC is still at full price, but for now, since the things that are likely to be done have been confirmed,I'll post them while I can.
(The following is a long post, but I'd like to point out in advance that most of it is a reprint of Discord logs, and there is nothing in particular other than the conclusion I wrote above in terms of the main points.
The main point of this article is finished with the above sentence.)

(Due to the character limit on Steam articles, the details are explained on the following page)

[Announcement] The new DLC will be available from 1/28, but please wait to purch

I'll get straight to the point, but due to circumstances that make it necessary to test certain things, the DLC will be available from 1/28, but at that time it will not include Chapter 8-3. Please be careful.
Until Chapter 8-3 is implemented, you can continue to play Chapter 8-1 and 8-2 for free.

As previously announced, players who purchased the game when the main package was still free will be able to receive the Chapter 8 DLC.
(I know it's confusing) As you can see in the screenshot above, we have already rewritten the internal information, so the process should be working properly.
In other words, internally, players who have purchased the paid Mainpackage should already have the right to receive Chapter-8.
However, when we tried implementing a process that would display a special icon on the startup screen for those who had already received Chapter-8 content, we found that this was not being applied.

I think that in all likelihood, this is just because the DLC hasn't been released yet, so the content hasn't been received.
However, you never know what might happen. We're really bad at this kind of thing, and the number of times our hearts have been broken by this kind of thing is well over 10.
If, when Chapter 8-3 is implemented, only players who have bought the Mainpackage for a fee are unable to receive 8-3, it will be the worst. It will be the end of the world.

Of course, when Chapter 8-3 is implemented, players who received the DLC for free and those who purchased it should both be able to receive it.
This is especially true on Discord, where the enthusiasm of players when a new stage is implemented is immeasurable.
The community is incredibly active in the hours before and after the new stage is implemented, with a countdown that is more exciting than New Year's Eve in Japan, and logs that fill up with 100 lines in a matter of minutes. And there are a lot of bugs. There is a tendency for the developers and players to go on a march of destruction and carnage.

The title logo on the top right of this page you are currently viewing probably has some characters holding vicious weapons in it.
As you can see from the fact that the characters are on the verge of battle, destruction will probably unfold a few seconds after this photo is taken.
As you can see from this, TacticalNexus is a work that legally digests destructive impulses that have nowhere to go, and it is widely known that both the developers and players express complete destruction through this game.
If there are players who cannot receive DLC properly at the time of the 8-3 implementation, their destructive impulses will be directed at the world, and development will take advantage of the riots and destroy this world.
For this reason, we really want to debug these things to make sure they are handled properly. Sorry.

So, while Chapter 8-3 is still under development, we are planning to release the DLC and check whether or not both players who have purchased the Mainpackage and players who have purchased the DLC separately will be able to receive it correctly when Chapter 8-3 is released.
(The reason we are doing this on the 28th is because we want to make an announcement and the DLC is scheduled to go on sale on the 28th.)

We apologize for sending out information that may confuse players, but we are also confused, so we hope you will join us in the confusion.

To repeat, for now, there is no point in purchasing the DLC, and you can play Chapters 8-1 and 8-2 for free until Chapter 8-3 is implemented.
Please be aware that there is no point in purchasing the DLC until the announcement of the implementation of Chapter 8-3.
(If you have purchased it by mistake, we recommend that you apply for a refund. Please wait until Chapter 8-3 is implemented.)

(The silent update of the backup process will continue for several days)

Because the game designer is on vacation, the programmer is playing TacticalNexus as a player for the first time in a while to fix minor QoL and bugs.
This will probably continue intermittently until around January 12th.

Because there are so many details and unimportant points, I myself have not recorded them, so there will probably be no explanation, but please don't worry about it.

Fixing very minor bugs

・Fixing mistakes in the BGM settings in 8-2, etc.
・Fixing visual bugs related to the Type-E Last Inflator
