It's great that Creative Assembly is giving life to Warhammer Fantasy's Grand Cathay in Total War: Warhammer III. Cathay is a Chinese-analogue faction that's only ever had references in older editions of the now-defunct tabletop wargame, and it's not the only one. Nations such as Ind, Nippon, and Araby are all (fairly obvious) mirrors of real-world cultures that are also known to exist, and little else beyond that.
Even Kislev lacked the same level of support as the major Warhammer Fantasy factions, and Total Warhammer fans have been wondering what else Creative Assembly might be able to pull out of its hat. If the studio can bring Cathay to life, why not another lost nation? Why not Araby?
Araby - a fictional fusion of Middle Eastern and North African cultures - has cropped up before as a faction some fans would like to see brought to life officially, and people were hoping they would appear in Total War: Warhammer II. With Warhammer III now firmly on the horizon (and Cathay's inclusion expanding the map eastward), fans are wondering if perhaps Creative Assembly has changed its mind. That would be no, in case you were wondering.

Total War: Warhammer III, while not being the end times, is going to be pretty apocalyptic as Kislev, Cathay and whoever else have to contend with not one, but four flavours of Chaos. We got a taste of this when we went hands-on with the new 'survival' battle type that was revealed last month.
Today, Creative Assembly released a blog post that goes into further detail regarding what changes are coming to tactical battles in general in the highly anticipated strategy game. There is a surprising amount of tweaks being applied to your run-of-the-mill engagements, also known as 'standard' battles.
In-battle resources - which in Warhammer II is a hard-coded system that's only used by Dark Elf, Greenskin, and Tomb Kings factions - have been redesigned so that it's a more flexible system, and this change is one of the main reasons it's resources can be deployed in survival battles. All of the game's new and existing abilities have been given a quality of life pass, which has allowed for cool new spells to be brought in for Warhammer III, and the changes don't stop there.

Araby is (still) not coming to Total War: Warhammer

We still don't know the official release date for Total War: Warhammer III, but there has still been a steady stream of news about the game's various factions over the last few weeks. However, the reveal of the full roster for the Kislev army has left fans wondering - can one have too many bears?
The word 'bear' appears in the Kislev army roster 24 times, with the Gryphon Legion getting the notable characteristic "not riding bears." Even ignoring the War Bear Riders and the artillery-mounted bear-pulled war sleds, every Legendary Lord character in the faction can have a War Bear as a personal mount. There's even a giant Elemental bear too that's ready to crush all under its icy paw.
This rather extreme amount of bears has provoked fierce debate on the Total War subreddit, where fans have mixed opinions on what qualifies too many bears. However, the most prominent view is that developer Creative Assembly did not need to give every Legendary Lord in Kislev a War Bear mount.
