Update Notes for 03/09/25

[p]Fixed crashes caused by the recent SteamVR update. The app should now run smoothly again with the latest version of SteamVR. [/p][p]You may need to uninstall, reinstall the app and rea-enable the driver in SteamVR -> Settings -> Startup / Shut Down -> Manage Add Ons

Thanks for your patience![/p]

Minor fixes

  • Addressed ghosting/lagging bug - hopefully its fixed!
  • Removed Footsteps feature
  • Lowered default 'Rotation Cancel' sensitivity
  • Added 'Rotation Cancel' sensitivity slider (beta)
  • Rejigged tutorial

Always On, Jumping and Height Setting

This update mostly looked at improving the Rotation Cancel and Stop Detection features - which makes the new 'Always On' activation more viable.

'Always On' seems to work well with more explorative games (e.g No Mans Sky). If the App thinks you have stopped it applies more aggressive rotation cancelling compared to previous builds. To start moving again make sure the HMD is not rotating and start stepping again. A slider is included to set the sensitivity.

Rotation Cancel is also on by default for all activation modes (stick touch/click etc). In some cases - e.g when moving very slowly - the app might think you have stopped when you have not. To start moving again disengage/reengage - e.g untouch/retouch the stick, or as described above stop HMD rotations and keep moving

Also added a Jump feature in the advanced tab and the ability to set player height which helps the app figure out what the user is doing

As ever, if after updating you have any issues please do a full uninstall/reinstall. If you are still having difficulties you can revert to the previous version via the 'previous_branch' in the Steam Betas tab

Summary:
  • Stop Detection improved
  • 'Always On' activation added
  • Updated Rotation Cancel
  • Jump
  • Height Setter
  • Re Jigged Tutorial

Extra HMD support, 'Stick Move' activation and performance/stability improved

This update confirms WMR support and also Quest 2 via Link/Virtual Desktop.

A new activation method 'Stick Move' has also been added to the activation menu which allows the stick/pad deflection to be used for activation instead of a button. This should reduce the chances of VRocker interfering with any in game controls - double clicking the stick disables/enables this option.

'Stick Move' also *seems* to work with DecaMove (tested with the DecaMove mobile app only, using Valve Index).

If after updating you have any issues please do a full uninstall/reinstall. If you are still having difficulties you can revert to the previous version via the 'previous_branch' in the Steam Betas tab

Summary:
  • Simplified UI - moved strafing and braking options to advanced tab
  • 'Stick Move' activation added
  • Improved driver stability, compatibility and performance
  • WMR support confirmed
  • Quest 2 Via Link and Virtual Desktop confirmed
  • Tentative DecaMove support testing started
  • Rejigged the tutorial
