Suggestions for the future?

Hey all,
I’d love to hear your thoughts & opinions on the future of Stratos. What kind of gameplay elements would you like me to feature/prioritize in upcoming updates?

Some ideas so far-

[h2]Encounters[/h2]
  • Increase the variety of encounters, e.g.
  • Pirates can intercept the player ship while travelling
  • Storms that can damage the ship

[h2]Story, Quests & Characters[/h2]
  • Create a Story Mode which drives the player through several steps
  • Different quest types, e.g. Collection, Bounty Hunting
  • Work on social immersion, giving the crew their own character, motivation & social relationships
  • Increasing the kinds of activities crew conduct, making relaxing and working seem more natural

[h2]World events & Mutators[/h2]
  • World-size events that occur randomly or as an option on a new game, e.g.
  • Drought – no water resource islands
  • Severe weather – blocks tiles and creates storms
  • Region prosperity/celebration – boosts economy, mining yields etc…
  • War / blockades- increased military presence, blocks tiles
  • Civil changes/rebellions – affects economy
  • Plagues – illness among crew

[h2]Factions[/h2]
  • Introduce custom factions with their own attributes
  • Affects seller costs & stock
  • Unique quests & rewards based on faction
  • Island relationships, e.g. farms provide food to villages, influences economy
  • Trade routes that create merchant vessels on relevant tiles
  • Royal hierarchies

[h2]Objectives & Achievements[/h2]
  • Turn the objectives into Steam achievements
  • More small scale objectives
  • More detailed objective rewards

[h2]Combat & Gear[/h2]
  • Synergy between weapons and armour
  • Improve tactics, e.g. taking cover behind obstacles
  • Bosses

[h2]World[/h2]
  • New islands, e.g. Towns, shipwrecks
  • Village names
  • More detailed island purchasing and management, e.g. resource production
